Westboro Baptist Church in Ruston...
Will be at the funeral of a Navy Aircrewman at Trinity UMC at 9:15am tomorrow. This is extremely short notice, but I hope at least one of you reading this can be there to respect this man and his sacrifice, and stand against these twisted people from WBC.

For those who don't know about WBC...just google it.

Re: Westboro Baptist Church in Ruston...
Westboro Baptist Church...the one group in the United States with a lower favorability rating than Al Qaeda. I guess protesting and disrupting a military funeral is more important to them than protesting and disrupting a gay kiss-in at some Chick-fil-A.
As a Christian, I shouldn't wish ill of them, but as an American, I wish someone could find a really good excuse to punch Mr. Phelps in the face one of these days for what his family does at military funerals.
I think there have been honor guards of volunteer veterans (?) that have shielded the family away from the Phelps clan so that they cannot see WBC during the funeral procession. I'm not sure if one is being done tomorrow morning or not, though.

I am gueesing some of the Westboro clan had to ask for time off from Chick Fil A since they both seem to stand for the same thing. Don't believe me just research the money they give to Exodus and what happens to it.
Westboro is complete embarrassment to Christians everywhere and well I am embarrassed for anyone that would support a company believes killing people because they are gay is ok.
We have to pray for both people because they are both very troubling organizations.
I am so glad that people took a stand for the right thing today and showed up to build that wall.

I am having trouble understanding your post. What company believes killing people because they are gay is ok?

Chick Fil A gives money to Exodus International who gives money to Uganda, again don't take my word for this is all confirmed via lots of research, it makes me sick because I didn't figure out that this was happening until after I had spent money at the damn place.

You are too stupid to realize that the money is not going to the Ugandan leaders your fellow democrat president supports.

if you would get your head out of your ass long enough to research it you might make a bit of sense when you speak but again it is probably lodged pretty far up your own ass so that is asking a bit much.

Would you like me to provide the link that was provided for the ignorant democrats to use as a talking point?
Ironic that you suddenly hate the regime that Obama has always supported.

I never heard of the group, until you posted this, but from what I have read today I support them as well. What a great mission field!! I will now probably send them some $$. Thanks for the lead!

So where is your outrage at Islam? I do not see anyone in the media, anyone who is gay or lesbian go public denouncing Islam because of the execution of gays and lesbians in middle eastern countries? Where is the outrage???? Why the double standard.. Islam promotes the execution of gays.. This guy expressed his personal opinion against gay marriage and you would have thought he personally executed 1000 gays and lesbians based upon the outcry.:icon_roll:

Surely they're having a "walk-in" and refusing to put money in OPEC's pocket...they're not?

Again he has his write to his freedom of speech just like those people at Westboro has theirs but it still doesn't make either one correct.

Your "eloquence" causes me to question your reasoning. Also, the dots don't connect.

I was wrong to lash out at him but I let certain people push my buttons and he is one of them, when you automatically deem someone a democrat because of his stance that pretty much pissed me off. I was wrong to say that to him.

Re: Westboro Baptist Church in Ruston...
51-41...
maybe the Bulldogs will put it to the Aggies by that score!
Well, 51 would be fine for the Bulldogs but would like to hold the Aggies to the 30's for sure!
Can't wait till election day, oops, sorry I meant GAME DAY!
Go BULLDOGS!

When a person connects dots the way you have, you should expect to be labeled as a Democrat.

Well this will get me absolutely bashed but Ronald Reagan was my hero, I absolutely loved him and trust me if he was President organizations like Exodus would be giving money to many places but Uganda would not be one of them because he would have made it very clear to Uganda that those type Actions would NEVER EVER be tolerated and either they could stop it or he would stop it for them.
Again I know that Reagan was not loved by alot but I thought he was great and the more I learn about him and the work he did behind the scenes for the Gay community he was truly EVERYONES President

And Bush did more for the gay community and AIDS nation and worldwide than any US President.

Actually, he expressed a preference for "traditional marriage." It's a subtle but important distinction.
More importantly, though, the company does not have a record of discriminating against LGBT in their business practices.

And most importantly Chick-Fila is a privately held company so if those views represents the owners so be it. If Chick-fila was a publicly traded company it would be a different story.

No it wouldn't. There have been plenty of companies that have made statements and there was no problem with that. The problem here for the ones that are crying is that it is against a liberal agenda. If it is for the liberal agenda, there has rarely been even a tiny outcry.

Yes, it would. Privately-held companies such as Chick-Fila and Interstate Batteries can promote Christian beliefs throughout their company culture unlike publicly traded companies which represent thousands of different shareholders with differing religious beliefs.

Do you believe that publicly traded companies like Colgate, Disney, Target, etc. don't promote their agendas-theirs are just liberal agendas? We'll have to disagree on this one. The one that holds the most shares is in control whether private or public. People are welcome to sell their shares if they don't like it, but if generally if people are making money that is not an issue.

That's certainly not necessarily true unless the "one that holds the most shares" holds a voting majority of the shares.
