Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
Like him or not, he is dead on correct on this one. He needs to be impeached and Hillary in jail after he's voted out!!! CNN has now buried the latest facts found out this morning within their 30 plus news items on the left and MSNBC is ignoring all on theirs. I didn't even try heading to ABC, CBS or NBC.
Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
'The regime is barely holding its campaign together'
PALM BEACH, Fla. – New information suggesting the Obama administration was fully aware of the terror attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, within two hours of the breakout of violence is being blasted as a cover-up of major proportions, with the help of national media who are ignoring the revelation.
“This dwarfs Watergate, weapons of mass destruction, whatever,” said radio host Rush Limbaugh Wednesday afternoon.
“This dwarfs Iran-Contra, about which the media spent three solid years trying to take out Ronald Reagan. The latest shoe to drop in the Benghazi disaster is the news that the State Department was e-mailing about the attack on the consulate and the terrorists who they thought were behind it within two hours, and the e-mails went to the Situation Room of the White House. Obama knew.”
For weeks after the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Obama and his surrogates proffered that the violence was merely an improptu response to an anti-Muslim video.
But reports today from several agencies including Reuters and CBS News reveal the administration knew precisely what was going on almost immediately, courtesy of emails.
Sharyl Attkisson at CBS says: “At 4:05 p.m. Eastern time, on September 11, an alert from the State Department Operations Center was issued to a number government and intelligence agencies. Included were the White House Situation Room, the office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the FBI.
“‘US Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi Under Attack” — “approximately 20 armed people fired shots; explosions have been heard as well. Ambassador Stevens, who is currently in Benghazi, and four COM (Chief of Mission/embassy) personnel are in the compound safe haven.’”
And Reuters reports the emails specifically mention the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks.
Limbaugh said for the administration to keep claiming it was reaction to a video was worse than misleading.
“They lied, folks. I don’t know how else to say it,” he said. “They knew exactly what happened and who was responsible for it and they knew what was happening. They knew it was not a video, they knew it was not a protest that had gotten out of hand … . It was a preplanned terror attack. There was real-time video of it.”
Limbaugh also scorched Obama for not sending in U.S. military to help the Americans at the consulate:
“The president may not have been aware that he had aircraft carriers in the region that planes land on and take off from and they go out and complete missions and they come back and they land. And we got these things they call submarines. They go under the water so the bad guys can’t see ‘em. They’re in the region, too. We got some naval assets in that region that could have been used.
“They could have been authorized to take action to save the lives of Americans.

Obama's Big Con: His Big Lies About Benghazi
By THOMAS SOWELL
Posted 07:06 PM ET
Confidence men know that their victim — "the mark" as he has been called — is eventually going to realize that he has been cheated. But it makes a big difference whether he realizes it immediately, and goes to the police, or realizes it after the confidence man is long gone.
So part of the confidence racket is creating a period of uncertainty, during which the victim is not yet sure of what is happening.
This delaying process has been called "cooling out the mark."
The same principle applies in politics. When the accusations that led to the impeachment of President Bill Clinton first surfaced, he flatly denied them all. Then, as the months passed, the truth came out — but slowly, bit by bit. One of Clinton's own White House aides later called it "telling the truth slowly."
By the time the whole truth came out, it was called "old news," and the clever phrase now was that we should "move on."
It was a successful "cooling out" of the public, keeping them in uncertainty so long that, by the time the whole truth came out, there was no longer the same outrage as if the truth had suddenly come out all at once.
Without the support of an outraged public, the impeachment of President Clinton fizzled out in the Senate.
We are currently seeing another "cooling out" process, growing out of the terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11 this year.
The belated release of State Department e-mails shows that the Obama administration knew, while the attack on the American consulate was still under way, that it was a coordinated, armed terrorist attack. They were getting reports from those inside the consulate who were under attack, as well as surveillance pictures from a camera on an American drone overhead.
About an hour before the attack, the scene outside was calm enough for the American ambassador to accompany a Turkish official to the gates of the consulate to say goodbye. This could hardly have happened if there were protesting mobs there.
Why then did both President Obama and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice keep repeating the story that this was a spontaneous protest riot against an anti-Islamic video in America?
The White House knew the facts—but they knew that the voting public did not. And it mattered hugely whether the facts became known to the public before or after the election. What the White House needed was a process of "cooling out" the voters, keeping them distracted or in uncertainty as long as possible.
Not only did the Obama administration keep repeating the false story about an anti-Islamic video being the cause of a riot that turned violent, the man who produced that video was tracked down and arrested, creating a media distraction.
All this kept the video story front and center, with the actions and inactions of the Obama administration kept in the background.
The White House had to know that it was only a matter of time before the truth would come out.
But time was what mattered, with an election close at hand. The longer they could stretch out the period of distraction and uncertainty — "cooling out" the voters — the better. Once the confidence man in the White House was reelected, it would be politically irrelevant what facts came out.
As the Obama administration's video story began to slowly unravel, their earlier misstatements were blamed on "the fog of war" that initially obscures many events. But there was no such "fog of war" in this case. The Obama administration knew what was happening while it was happening.
They didn't know all the details—and we may never know all the details—but they knew enough to know that this was no protest demonstration that got out of hand.
From the time it took office, the Obama administration has sought to suppress the very concept of a "war on terror" or the terrorists' war on us.
The painful farce of calling the Fort Hood murders "workplace violence," instead of a terrorist attack in our midst, shows how far the Obama administration would go to downplay the dangers of Islamic extremist terrorism.
The killing of Osama bin Laden fed the pretense that the terrorism threat had been beaten.
But the terrorists' attack in Libya exposed that fraud — and required another fraud to try to "cool out" the voters until after election day.

Libyans: Al-Qaida handled security at U.S. Embassy
Documents show assignment ran through at least spring of this year
A secret document obtained by former Muslim Brotherhood member Walid Shoebat suggests the Obama administration approved assigning a member of al-Qaida to handle security at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli.
According to a report published today by Shoebat, a letter dated Aug. 30, 2011, informed the al-Qaida member he had responsibility for security in Tripoli “to include all international embassies.”

Please take the time to read this article from the Canada Free Press. The American media complex is purposely deceiving the American public on this scandal and cover up. This is the most comprehensive explanation of what really happened on 9-11-12 and the circumstances leading up to the attack. After you read this you be immune to the lies being put out there.

Re: Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
The big question is "Where was Obama during the many hours of the massacre?"
You saw him in the Situation Room during 1) the SEAL raid on the pirates 2) the Osama assassination 3) and during hurricane Sandy.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, on where he was and what decisions he made DURING the massacre. And, don't tell me he didn't know...this was an attack on U.S. soil against the President's own surrogate. This is the VERY time that a president HAS to lead...and he was "no where" ?

Re: Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
:argue:
General on Benghazi: 'This thing runs very deep'
'There's something being hidden from American people'
There has been no acceptable explanation for not rescuing Americans under siege in Benghazi, and nothing less than a special House committee investigation will satisfy the retired U.S. Army general who played a key role in organizing a letter signed by more than 700 special operations veterans in demanding the formation of the special committee.
Retired Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin served in the Army’s special forces and in the Army Rangers. Boykin is now executive vice president at the Family Research Council, and he’s a member of the WND board of directors.
He told WND the lack of action during the Benghazi crisis, and the lack of answers since, have been bothering him for months.
“I’ve been working this since not long after the events on the 11th of September. That said, the U.S. Congress has been sort of ignoring all of our efforts to try and get some full accounting on this thing,” Boykin said. “I just simply reached out to some people that I knew had a deep passion for this, that would in fact bring a different dimension to it and that’s the retired special operations guys that spent a good portion of their professional careers preparing for and executing these kinds of operations. They’ve risked their lives for this. They’ve seen people that have sacrificed their lives to save other Americans, and I knew these people would come on quickly and would come on with deep passion.”
Boykin said he and his colleagues directed the letter toward the House of Representatives rather than the U.S. Senate because there are already 70 House co-sponsors for a resolution calling for the creation of the same select committee to probe what went wrong before, during and after the Benghazi attacks. He is very cautiously optimistic that House leaders will approve the committee, but he cautioned the reaction over the next day or so will be critical in determining whether it will happen.
The general agrees with Special Operations Speaks Co-Founder Larry Bailey, who told us earlier in the week that to this point House leaders have been somewhat complicit in allowing key questions on Benghazi to go unanswered.
“If you look at the fact that the commander of the Africa Command, Gen. Carter Ham, has never been brought in to testify, if you look at the fact that there are at least 32 survivors of this incident and none of them have ever been brought in and questioned, if you look at the fact that one of those 32 is still in Walter Reed and a member of Congress has visited him twice but he’s never been asked to come across town and appear before a committee or subcommittee, this is inexcusable and it reeks of a cover-up of some kind,” Boykin said.

Well here it is folks!!
House GOP concludes Hillary Clinton blew Benghazi response...
Report...
House Republicans have concluded that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was responsible for cutting security at the consulate in Benghazi ahead of last year’s attack there, and that the administration lied about why it downplayed terrorism as the cause of the assault.
A new report — the result of months of investigation by five different House committees — says there was plenty of intelligence that presaged the attack, but the State Department and President Obama failed to heed the warnings or give the Defense Department the authority to respond to such an attack.
SPECIAL COVERAGE: Benghazi Attack Under Microscope
The report exonerates the Pentagon itself, saying the military did what it could to respond once the attack began, but “was hindered on account of U.S. military forces not being properly postured” beforehand.
In the most damning finding, House Republicans said Mr. Obama and his team lied about the attacks afterward, first by blaming mob violence spawned by an anti-Muslim video, and then wrongly saying it had misled the public because it was trying to protect an FBI investigation.
“This progress report reveals a fundamental lack of understanding at the highest levels of the State Department as to the dangers presented in Benghazi, Libya, as well as a concerted attempt to insulate the Department of State from blame following the terrorist attacks,” the GOP investigation concluded in its 46-page report.

Obama administration officials threatened whistle-blowers on Benghazi, lawyer says

At least four career officials at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency have retained lawyers or are in the process of doing so, as they prepare to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress, Fox News has learned.
Victoria Toensing, a former Justice Department official and Republican counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, is now representing one of the State Department employees. She told Fox News her client and some of the others, who consider themselves whistle-blowers, have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials.

Obama & Co have watched too many political movies in their lifetime. They think how movies run with coverups, ops, etc. is how you are supposed to do it.
But really, it's just amazing that absolutely no one is coming out publicly, or even in the shadows, to confirm or refute everything.

Let me clarify. I meant people who are on the periphery. Where's the White House/Congressional/military aide or Secret Service agent/secretary/etc. or any of the other hundreds (if not thousands) of witnesses to everything going on. Not just with Benghazi, but everything.
I believe the biggest problem we have right now is the lack of ethics.

As I understood it yesterday it's some of these types as well that are trying to come forward but your point is valid big time; "the biggest problem we have right now is the lack of ethics". And that I believe starts at the top with Obama to Biden to Hillary and down.....in this one.

So far, it's just those directly involved. The drone operator(s) and their immediate chain of command. The Department of State (and likely CIA) personnel who were in Benghazi and other places in Libya before, during, and after the attack. The FBI and escorts who went to the site afterwards. The communications people who were relaying the situational messages that the PPOTUS and Klinton ignored.
-
Re: Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
Hannity had a drone "pilot" on his show yesterday. Assuming what he said is true, then this is far worst than even I imagined. For one thing, the rapid-response team who would have/should have been called in to defend the embassy ALERTED the drone base that something was wrong. So, a drone was diverted to the embassy in Benghazi. It arrived just after the first wave of attacks, which had caused some fires and some damage to the facility, but as of yet there was no breach of the embassy itself. Ambassador Stephens and the others were barricaded inside and still mostly safe. The drone operator sent the images to the rapid-response team and to the State Department. Then 30 mins later a group of mooooslim terrorists arrived, armed with automatic weapons and RPGs and the second attack began. Again, video was beamed to ALL who needed to know. The rapid-response team had already made preparations and were waiting on confirmation for their request to go. None came. After Stephens was killed at the embassy, and the drone had clear and vivid video of his body being dragged out, the rapid-response team were airborne in helicopters and enroute to the annex, but they were ordered to stand down and return to base. About an hour later more Americans were killed in the attack at the annex.

For anyone wanting to watch the watered-down hearing, it starts 11:30 AM EST/10:30 AM CST.
I'm mostly curious as to the statements and questions from the committee than anything the witnesses would be saying. Outside of prepared speeches, I don't expect much from the witnesses.

Re: Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
The lamestream media is finally covering this. Of course, they're doing it with as much defense of the obummerites as they can. They keep adding comments like "but, we don't really know the extent of Secretary Clinton's involvment..." blah, blah, blah. They will try to protect her, and obummer's legacy, all they can. But, the very fact the lamers are now covering this spells trouble for Hillary. I hope she takes a very hard fall. Some (most) of you probably don't know it, but as a young attorney, serving on some demo senator's staff, she helped to prepare the case against President Nixon during the Watergate investigation. There is an old film of her being interviewed (big, thick ugly eyeglasses!) and she says something like, she despises President Nixon and all he stands for and she is thrilled to help end his presidency. She also adds she is disgusted that someone in a high office could lie to the American people..... Hello! I hope I see Hillary being grilled for her lies, and this ends, forever, any hope of that bitch being POTUS. What goes around....comes around, eh.
-
Re: Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
The media's lack of investigating, and even reporting this is just as much of the story as the cover up itself. I would say they are criminal in aiding and abetting the administration. Can you imagine if this was Bush? Hell, they still blame him for lying about WMD in Iraq and every intelligence agency in the world "lied" about that, but they act like it was just him.
-
Re: Benghazi cover-up: 'This dwarfs Watergate'
This is what we know:
1. Hillary and Obama knew this was a terrorist attack the night it happened.
2. They sent Rice out to tell everyone it was a spontaneous reaction to a Youtube video.
3. Obama blamed it on America's freedom of speech (Youtube video).
This is what we don't know:
1. Why would they do that?
2. The media doesn't care to find out.

This is what we don't know:
1b. Why would they do that?
2b. The media doesn't care to find out.
1a. Obama didn't know. He was asleep. 30 minute briefing right before bed is enough to say "hey, a building in Libya that Ambassador Stevens is at is being attacked. We don't have any details at this time." His failing comes from holding the interest of himself above those of the 300million other American citizens. Even Clinton knew he was a servernt to the people. There is no such understanding by Obama. He is King.
2a. Attacking Rice for the talking points should stop. It was iffy from the get go and pretty much happened how we thought. Obama & Co with complacency from IC cooked the books. She, at most, could have asked for information backing it up, but would either not be given it or given more cooked data. The talk show thing is squarely on Obama & Co, State Department, and IC. I'm genuinely shocked the IC would do everything they did. I don't blame the whole IC, mainly the idiots that worked to cook the data and those in the IC that thought those people were good people.
3a. He still does.
1b. To ensure the PPOTUS gets reelected. Or it was a hit they put out against Stevens for letting key players know of a new Operation 40. Pretty much throw anything at it and it is likely true with this group.
2b. We thought states have shucked their responsibility to the republic. They have nothing on the media. Short of Jesus' return, the media should never be cozy with any politician, especially the President and his group.
I want to add a 3b. The American people are largely stupid. The leftist know this and have exploited it. It will take an impossible to ignore scandal so gruesome that Dahmer looks like a saint for the spell to be broken.

I got to admit, it's pretty impressive seeing other media outlets outside FNC grilling Press Secretary Carney hard right now. He's obviously flustered to the point where he repeats the same incorrect phrases over and over and over. I've said all along that Obama and his ADM from top to bottom is pure evil and I meant it. Plus they are all narcissistic to the max and truly sick.

I wholeheartedly agree. I can't watch or listen to anything about this betrayal without getting sick. Literally. I get so worked up that I get mini-flares from my disease and have to "step away" from the t.v. or computer for awhile. Also part of the reason, I have to step away from BB&B from time to time. lol

Congressman: Benghazi Survivors Forced to Sign Non-Disclosure Agreements....
Congressman Frank Wolf, a Republican from Virginia, said today on the House floor that survivors of the Benghazi terror attack have been forced to sign non-disclosure agreements:
"On Tuesday I raised the question of why none of the Benghazi survivors, whether State Department, CIA, or private security contract employees have testified publicly before Congress," said Wolf.
"According to trusted sources that have contacted my office, many if not all of the survivors of the Benghazi attacks along with others at the Department of Defense, the CIA have been asked or directed to sign additional non-disclosure agreements about their involvement in the Benghazi attacks. Some of these new NDAs, as they call them, I have been told were signed as recently as this summer."
Wolf continued: "It is worth nothing that the Marine Corps Times yesterday reported that the Marine colonel whose task force was responsible for special operations in northern and western Africa at the time of the attack is still on active duty despite claims that he retired. And therefore could not be forced to testify before Congress.
"If these reports are accurate, this would be a stunning revelation to any member of Congress, any member of Congress that finds this out and also more importantly to the American people. It also raises serious concerns about the priority of the administration's efforts to silence those with knowledge of the Benghazi attack in response.

We Need To Get To The Bottom Of What Truly Happened In Benghazi
This week, I joined in a collective, public event along with numerous Special Forces or Operations veterans and some other members of Congress outside the U.S. Capitol. We are continuing to demand that a new investigation by a House Select Committee with Subpoena power be launched to get factual answers to the Benghazi terror attack. Unrolling a 60-foot long scroll outside the Capitol building, our group revealed the nearly one thousand Special Ops veterans who want a select committee in the House appointed to investigate the government response to the attack that killed four brave Americans including the President’s personal representative, Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Just like the Fast and Furious scandal, this crisis is being swept under the rug by the Obama Administration. They want to play fast and loose with the truth. However, the families of the victims of the murders along with the American people deserve answers, not silence and more excuses. The American people ought to finally have at least a fraction of the transparency that our President promised us when he was seeking votes back five years ago. Instead we are left with more delays and obfuscation.
Those are reasons that I agreed to help my friend, Rep. Steve Stockman, with a “discharge petition.” If we get 218 members of Congress to sign it, then the Speaker is forced to bring this issue to the floor for a vote of Congress. We need to get to the bottom of what truly happened in Benghazi. The blood of our American patriots is crying out for the truth. They deserve justice. Their families deserve honesty. We cannot forget the sacrifice they made and the bravery they displayed in the face of a dire situation.
Although some in this administration might ask again, “What difference does it make?” The fact is that it makes all the difference in the world to the American men and women who have sons, daughters, fathers or mothers serving in our courageous military and dutiful Department of State. We must find out specifically what went wrong so that it can be avoided and lives saved in the future. The one certain fact we know is that the attack in Benghazi did NOT happen as the result of some “video,“ despite the lies that were told for days after the attack by this administration. We must get to the truth so that precious American lives may be saved in the future. Having become friends with a number of the loved ones of our deceased heroes, it is actually painful to deal with the cover up that continues.
In the military, we were taught as so many who went before us, that the American people would never desert us while we were fighting for them. Benghazi is yet another incident that makes our warriors wonder. They should never have to. We must find out why our heroes were so nonchalantly abandoned and make sure it does not happen again. Seeking truth and justice is what Americans do; it’s who we are. We are not supposed to cover-up truth, we are supposed to embrace it – good, bad, or indifferent.
It is clear only a select committee with subpoena power can bring the truth into light. I hope that more and more Americans will continue demand that their members of Congress will sign on to our “discharge petition” to force having a select committee to get the critical answers. A person’s party affiliation does not matter– truth does not care about parties. But, the truth needs to come out and there appears no other way to get to it. I have heard from so many of you that are demanding whatever it takes to find get to the bottom of the Benghazi murders. As your servant, I will not let up until we get answers to our critical questions and the murderers who committed this act of war against America are brought to justice.

CHENEY: No. I watched the Benghazi thing with great interest, Sean. I think it's one of the worst incidences, frankly, that I can recall in my career. It put the whole capability claiming the terrorist problem was solved once we got Bin Laden, that Al Qaeda was over with. And if they told the truth about Benghazi, that it was a terrorist attack by an Al-Qaeda-affiliated group, it would destroy the false image of confidence that was the basis of his campaign for re-election.
They lied. They claimed it was because of a demonstration video, so they wouldn't have to admit it was really all about their incompetence. That the State Department and White House ignored repeated warnings from the CIA about the threat. They ignored messages from their own people on the ground that they need more security. They reduced what was already there. And the administration either had no forces ready to respond to an attack, which should have been anticipated on the anniversary of 9/11, or they refused to deploy them when our people asked for help.
But since you won't click that link, here's a site more to your liking for its leftist spin of the whole thing.

ADMINISTRATION BLOCKS ACCESS TO BENGHAZI SURVIVORS - The State Department has again denied a request from lawmakers to interview survivors of the Sept. 11, 2012 raid by Islamists on a U.S. outpost in Benghazi, Libya. In letter to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., the agency refers to “significant risks” and “serious concerns about having the survivors of the attack submit to additional interviews.” Graham has been asking since last year for the FBI’s transcripts of interviews with State Department and CIA survivors. He and other Republicans are warning the White House they will blockade Federal Reserve nominee Janet Yellen if the administration does not provide the details. Chief Intelligence Correspondent Catherine Herridge has more.

But reports today from several agencies including
Reuters and
CBS News reveal the administration knew precisely what was going on almost immediately, courtesy of emails.

There is outrage over terrorist attacks, but most people see terrorism as a fact of life these days. Therefore, when these terrorist attacks were called terrorist attacks, it wasn't as outrageous as it once was. We've kind of gotten used to it.
The outrage was when Obama lied about another terrorist attack and blamed it on an American and had that American arrested and imprisoned on unrelated charges. Then you find out that they were lying because the guys had requested more security because they knew the terrorist attack was coming and the admin denied the request. They were also lying because an election was coming up and they didn't want to appear to be the boobs they really are. The truth would have been less outrageous, but Obama has said the war on terror is over and they are no longer a threat, etc... and he didn't want to give Romney any ammo to make him look like the fool he is.
So.. no, you look like an uninformed boob for posting that. But I'm sure you got it from some liberal hack job, so it's not your fault. Just study before you buy in to the lies.

Typical Democrat tactic. Don't like the meaning behind something, so change it to suit your needs.
Respect them as a fighting force. Underestimating our enemies abilities is what got us into the long quagmires of Vietnam and Iraq. But that does not mean respecting their beliefs or empathizing with why they are fighting. Understanding is not the same thing and empathizing.

Benghazi panel head Gowdy asks Clinton to ‘relinquish’ personal server
Published March 20, 2015
The chairman of the congressional committee probing the Benghazi terror attacks has formally asked that Hillary Clinton turn over her personal server -- warning that the House could take steps to pressure her if she refuses.
Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., sent a letter, released Friday, to Clinton's attorney requesting that the former secretary of state "relinquish" the server to a "neutral, detached and independent third-party" for review.
The server has become a point of controversy after she admitted to exclusively using a private email account and a personal server while secretary -- yet insisted her server would remain private, though some lawmakers want access to it to ensure she's turned over all official emails during her tenure.
Gowdy's letter suggested that Clinton could turn the server over to the State Department inspector general for review. He said it's important for a third party to look over the contents to ensure any public documents are released.
"Her arrangement places her as the sole arbiter of what she considers private and what is beyond the view of the public," Gowdy said in the letter addressed to her Washington attorney Friday.
One source told Fox News that Gowdy's committee does not have the statutory authority to subpoena the server itself -- only witnesses and documents. However, the full House does, should it escalate to that point.
At the end of his letter, Gowdy asked for a response by April 3. He pointedly warned that if Clinton won't comply, he will tell House Speaker John Boehner so he can use the "full powers" of the House to take the "necessary steps."

Now this could get interesting.
Clinton agrees to testify on Benghazi, emails this month
May 4, 4:16 PM (ET)
WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton has agreed to testify on Capitol Hill later this month about the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, and about her email practices.
Her lawyer David Kendall wrote to lawmakers Monday telling them she would agree to the request from a special panel investigating the September 2012 attacks that killed four Americans.
But Kendall said Clinton would testify only for one session. The committee chairman, GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, had requested that she appear twice, for a hearing on Clinton's use of private emails and for a separate session on Benghazi.
Kendall said Clinton would answer all lawmakers' questions during one session and it would not be necessary for her to appear twice.
