How to watch the game (legal and no tv subscription required!)

Download the longhorn network app for iPhone or iPad.

Select the game and it will ask you to pick your carrier. Select Verizon fIOS. It will give you an option for temporary access. Select it.

Works for 5 hours from the time you enter your email. So wait till about 530.

Do I have to be a Verizon Fios customer? I have Comcast.

Just went to Longhorn network on my computer and found out that this is a FREE access weekend. We should be able to watch the game online without having to pay. Our game is listed on the watch now list.

I have AT&T Uverse in Dallas and the game is on channels 1609 LHN HD and 609 LHD. Posting just in case anyone else has Uverse. It allows recording too.

I see nothing about a free access weekend on LHN site. What page did you find that info?

that may be the case. the LHN website that I saw it on only said November 11-13 with no year listed.

I must be doing something wrong. I see no option for a temporary access on the ipad app and then on the longhorn network site it's requiring a subscription to verizon or grande communications.

lost track of the date since my brother-in-law's birthday is the 11th but we celebrated it with family last night. the curse of retirement...all the days run together.

It works. I got it on my iPhone. Just go to the link and it asks for you email. I'm going to a friends house to use his iPad.

I signed up for temporary access and gave them my email but nothing is playing. It sent me back to the app home page. Should something play when I click "watch now"? because it takes me back through the same steps.

Try restarting the app or putting a new email in.

Got it up on Apple TV looking great here

Click watch, then it should prompt you to select Verizon. Select Verizon, and there's your option to do it

I got it on my iphone, and am using airplay to show it on my TV through my appletv. Aweseome quality, crappy overhead camera work.

I have the longhorn app on the iPad now, but everytime I pit my email address in to request temporary access, I then click "Watch now" and then nothing happens. Goes back to the main screen on the app.

Forget it. I'd rather listen to Nitz anyway.

Was watching fine on iPad, but won't work any more. Not sure I wanna watch. Stats don't lie, we have about the worst defense in the country. I just hope to finish 9-3.

Thanks for posting this! I was able to watch the entire game on AppleTV from the iPad and it was great quality. I thought it was going to time out on me at the end, but it never did.

Same here. It worked perfectly the first time and I had it on the big screen through Apple TV. Much better picture quality than ESPN3. Also, I was able to close and reopen it several times with no problem. Thanks.......
