Very true. Dixon just broke 2 of Marshall freakin Faulks records. Pretty elite company right there.
Cameron too. Amazing stuff.
Lots of blue in the stands
Man - we really played well on offense and the D in the 2nd half only allwoed two TD's...just look at the records set tonight !!!Wow !!!!
Lots of time for beer drinkin'.
Here is a positive thought, let's give fans a crying towel next Saturday. At least they will leave the Joe with something.
That's what makes me so mad. All of these great accomplishments and body of work by the offense is overshadowed by this sorry excuse for a defense. The guys on defense should really be ashamed of themselves.
We need to onside kick every time. We are likely to get a couple!!!
On a side note, I was at a large gathering of family and friends tonite and a cousin (alumni) told me he was getting to come to the game Saturday. He got 4 tickets and was excited. HE HAD NO CLUE the time had changed to a 3 pm kickoff. He would have missed most of the game.
Oh wait, positives...............we won, Dixon is only a freshman, we get to watch Patton, Myles, and Colby 3 more times
Good publicity = better recruits = better future seasons! :D
We won.
Sorry. That's all I have.
Most amazing offense I have ever witnessed.....amazing. No matter how bad the D is, we know, we will score on the next drive. No worries.
I'm glad I'm still married. If she would have witnessed this behavior before we got married I'd still be a single man.
My momma always said.......
If i put a bless his little heart in the statement , would it cancel out the negative?
My positive comment: This game is over. :)
Seriously though, the terrible performance by our defense shouldn't overshadow the incredible performance by Kenneth Dixon and the rest of the offense. Breaking any record set my Marshall Faulk is worthy of praise. And the fact that Colby stands alone with no INTs on the season is also very positive.
I doubt the team will be overconfident going into next week. Plus, we don't have to face the option again.
I loved the way our offense responded to the challenge and took this game!
This IS the best Tech offense I have ever seen; amazing talent.
Positive: Our offense doesn't know what a turnover is. They're like machines. Sadly, our defense doesn't know what a turnover is either.
We make national recognition every week - maybe not for long but still get a mention (and in a "high-powered offense" way)
I will one day be able to tell others I witnessed the 839 yard game and the 6000 yard season
Running backs coming on a non-stop conveyor belt
CC performances that no-one 2 years ago saw coming
And the fact that a certain #22 may be looking down on us and helping the LT score stay just ahead of the other team score - for all the defense failings you know that every player out there is leaving it on the field every week - you can see it. they said they would and they certainly are. Keep believing (it is hard) and this great season will be etched in us forever
I can't WAIT for Saturday!!!
Possible positive: Unless Oregon scores a lot more points against Cal very quickly, we will one again be #1 in offensive scoring.
I'm thinking I will go meet the team when they get home. They need to know we believe in them.
I am thankful for the lack of education on this team. They don't know the meaning of "give up" or "surrender".
I can sum it up:
Our offense is unstoppable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colby Cameron
Kenneth Dixon
Ray Holley
The General
Records broken right and left
We are NINE and freakin ONE (and the ONE was a 2 point loss to a team decided in the last seconds that knocked off #1 in the country yesterday)
JUST WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What number of passes is Colby up to with 0 picks?
419
there is no quit in anyone on our sideline. They love to play and they play hard. We find a way to get the next number in the right column. 9-1 baby!
Kenneth Dixon is a special player. I can't say enough about how good this guy is and he is just a true freshman. The TD run when he broke 2 tackles and then dragged 3 guys into the end zone without going down was spectacular.
Everyone keeps saying if we had any kind of defense we would be 10-0 and heading to a BCS bowl, but another way to look at it is if we didn't have a world class offense we would be 0-10. Is that positive?
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are ranked in the top 20, for another week, and
We are Bulldogs
That would be three based on the post game notes on the Tech website:
Kenneth Dixon scored four rushing touchdowns to set a new NCAA record for rushing touchdowns in a season by a freshman. Dixon ended the game with 24 rushing scores to his credit this year breaking the old record of 21 set by Marshall Faulk (San Diego State, 1991) and Ryan Williams (Virginia Tech, 2009).
Kenneth Dixon set a new NCAA record for most points scored in a season by a freshman with 150 points. That breaks the old record of 140 points scored by then-freshman Marshall Faulk (San Diego State) in 1991.
Kenneth Dixon set a new NCAA record for most touchdowns scored by a freshman with 25 (24 rushing, 1 receiving). That breaks the old record of 23 set by Marshall Faulk (San Diego State) in 1991 (21 rushing, 2 receiving).
:D:D:D
I'm tired of being down on this team. Now that I've slept I believe we find a way to win the last 2. If we can spot A&M 27 and nearly win, you have to feel real good about our chances.
GO DAWGS!!

Look who's the dark horse candidate.
That's nicely done too!Quote:
On the year, he's thrown for 3,283 yards, 27 touchdowns and not a single interception for the 9-1 Bulldogs, who will now be moving up into the Top 20.
HD
There were a lot of us there.
Plenty of positives from last night.
Ridiculous stats turned in again by the offense – 627 yards of total offense, 5 touchdowns scored by our great freshman running back, ZERO sacks allowed by our fantastic front line, ZERO interceptions thrown, ZERO turnovers committed. What a special offense this has been to witness this year! We are very fortunate.
And we retained our top 20 ranking in BCS.
I'm making chili next Saturday
Hoping to kill a deer and enjoy a DAWG victory all in 1 day next weekend.
I am hoping that Aggies being our last home game of the season that the team comes totally pumped up and ready to play. It will be the last home game for many seniors. Seeing # 22 jersey on the field should inspire everyone in the stands along with the team. While this will be a tough and hard fought game, I think the team will be up for this one.
Something positive.......Well, for years, we have been saying we will have a better season next year!!! Next year......Always, next year. IMHO, this is the next year I have been waiting for.....for a long, long time....Damn long time!! And, I'm enjoying it.
Here's a positive. After watching his defense solidify its standing as the worst in the nation we have a head coach that did not say it was "frustrating" ala Bicknell.
All you need is THREE words -
Kenneth FREAKIN' Dixon!
First, Thanks DFM for getting something positive going!
As I see it, our staff surely knew that the past two Saturdays, we would handle our opponents by offense alone. They did and thus, we have 9 WINS! I also believe our coaches realize that they have a tremendous opportunity to make an enourmous statement in these next two games. There is no reason to hide anything from here on out. We have as some have mentioned, a player returning that has every reason to put up the performance of a life-time. We have coaches that for better or worse, want to position themselves and they don't do that as well if they suffer a humiliating loss. I'm really looking forward to Saturday, because I think we are all going to see something we will be remembering for a long time!
Go DAWGS!
We have NEVER had a season when we received this much attention. I wasn't sure we would ever be ranked this high or even be mentioned in the same sentence as "BCS bowl."
Positive prediction.
Our "D" finds a way to put together its best game since Idaho. Dawgs win 53-31!!
A lot of game film study from the good, the bad and the ugly games to get our team over it's mistakes and to start it's peaking. It's time to get it all together for these next two games - 120 minutes of football for a season to remember...as if it's not already !
The Saints' D got pushed around a little, but in the end made some big stops to beat the Dirty Birds. And, they have set, and are setting, all-time worst NFL defensive records. Like Lou Holtz is fond of saying, you don't have to be the best in the nation. Just the best in the stadium!
Our defense doesn't have to do a Doomsday Defense impersonation. They just have to do enough. And, I think they will.
lmao - the biggest positive note for me is: USU only have our bad D game film to study, they have no good D game film to study or to prepare for :) they won't know what is going to hit them next Saturday.
Let's go Bulldawgs!!!
Have we fired Tommy Spangler yet? That would be very positive. :icon_razz:
San Jose State game on ESPN2!!
