Re: Cast of "Sons of Guns" love some Dawgs
Since I'm not familiar with the show, I had to look up Charlie Watson and was glad to see Tech mentioned until I got to the next paragraph of his bio. Maybe someone needs to get him to update/fix it?
"Thirty-six-year-old Charlie Watson is a forensic firearms expert, but at night he moonlights as Red Jacket's technical troubleshooter. Charlie is a Baton Rouge native and attended Louisiana Tech University where he received a degree in Animal Biology. He then attended LSU where he received a Masters Degree in Natural Science. He has a passion for the science of weaponry. To Charlie, it's all about the precision and the physics.
When not at Red Jacket or on duty, Charlie enjoys spending time with his family (he is married with one child) and tinkering on old BMWs. Like every true Baton Rouge native he cheers for the LSU Tigers football team."
He doesn't cheer for the Dogs?!

Have you not heard of "indoctrination?" That's what they do here in Louisiana. It's as common as a crooked Louisiana politician.

Re: Cast of "Sons of Guns" love some Dawgs
Been here in BR since '81. They still haven't got me to root for the purple and piss.

Re: Cast of "Sons of Guns" love some Dawgs
Instead of being petty, why dont yall just be thankfull he is willing to attend. Who knows maybe he will like what he sees. Piss him off before he gets here and you may never see him again.
Welcome home Charlie!

Re: Cast of "Sons of Guns" love some Dawgs
Charlie Watson grew up down in the BR area. His dad is an LSU grad and has season tickets. Both Charlie and his brother Ryan are Tech grads, and Charlie got his masters at LSU. I do not fault them for being LSU fans.
I think it is cool that his attending this Saturday's game is not just him coming back for a game, but an actual Sons of Guns appearance with apparently additional cast members. Just need the Duck Dynasty guys to come over... Hell, didn't Billy the Exterminatory come to a game a couple years back?

Re: Cast of "Sons of Guns" love some Dawgs
He's a fan of a school he ACTUALLY attended, which is unlike about 3.5 million other Louisianians.

There has been a spot about this running on 97.7 for about a week.

Turned down the volume for ULoLM adds so I must have missed it.

Is this a promotion for their show?

I think it's a promotion for Brennan dodge at their tailgate. Also good to get more people out to the joe so really a win-win.

Well, excuse me for quoting his bio where it said he loved rooting for LSU. I did not intend to start anything, but any other time y'all would be in a twist because it said that. I know he went to LSU and don't care that he roots for them; however, he also graduated from Tech so I would think he could/should say that he loved to support the Dogs on his bio as well.
I guess he can have it both ways, but y'all sure do give heck to some lawyers and doctors on here who went to Tech but have LSU stuff all over their vehicles. And usually y'all seem to tend toward supporting your undergrad school first or at least it seems that in some of these threads. Never can tell how some of you will react to such. I only commented because I was reading along about his going to Tech and then it said he loved the tigers. It just really jumped out at me. In any event, maybe he will return to his roots this weekend and realize he can still support the Dogs as well. At least he himself is coming unlike the duck guy.

Another post jogged my memory. It is an ad for Brennan Dodge. Still, it does mention they are at the Tech tailgate and mentions the gametime.

I wasn't scolding you, hun. Ahhh...the beauty of the Internet. I've always said, if you went to school there, by all means...support 'em. I think the record would show I've been quite consistent in this position. I do tend to think if you went to TECH, regardless of whether undergrad or graduate, you should be a primary TECH FAN...but I'm shamelessly biased in that regard.

I just don't see a lot of people coming to see these characters. I've watched the show a couple of times and it's just not that great.

The first season was much better, before they started scripting the story-lines.
