Win it and we can struggle to a 4-8 or 5-7 finish...
Lose it and the best we can hope for is 3-9 but more than likely a 1-11 or 2-10 season will be in store

It's just hard to believe we're THIS bad. You know you're bad when UTEP and UNT (our next 2 games) look intimidating to your program.
The cynic in me says we won't win another game. It's easy to forget that, as bad as we are, a third of CUSA is likely worse. I think we beat UTEP in an ugly game.

I think Higgins could be very good if we had an aggressive HC (yes I've come around since the Tulane debut) - if we start throwing the ball in the first half last week at Army he goes for 400+ yds and maybe pushes 500...

UTEP has 4 TOs in 4 games, and is keeping the ball for an average of 33 minutes per game, and is converting 3rd downs at a 50% clip.
My takeaway: If Tech holds on to the ball, gets the running game going (looking at you, OL), and actually finishes a few drives, I don't see why we don't win by 2 scores. However, until I see it happen, I predict more of the same, but the good guys finally find a way to win one this week. Higher scoring affair than most will think.

We score 2 TD's miss PAT on one and 2-pt attempt on other (trying to tie game at Half-Time). They score 2 FG's before realizing you are allowed to throw into double coverage when playing against us - especially into EZ where a guaranteed TD is available. So 13-12 at the half. 27-12 end of Q3 - lots of punting and 4 and out in Q4...
