Love the video! Not too big on all of the shots of the Ouchita River and things in Monroe though. I mean Ruston has been, and will always be, the home of the Bulldogs, NOT Monroe. And if we aren't going to play that team in Monroe, we can't really call that Bulldog country since we haven't won there in a loooong time. Might as well throw up pictures of Lafayette and Baton Rouge and call it Bulldog country if that's the vibe we were going for. Idk, just something I didn't really like about it.
The "theme" IS ALL of north LA is bulldog country. If you don't live in Monroe you would hardly know it was Monroe. I live here and had to go back 2 or 3 times to figure out what that was. That being said if you just cater to Ruston you will never build the fanbase. Im usually one of our toughest critics in a lot of things we do but this is probably the best commercial not just for athletics but the University I have ever seen. Beats the step show Tech ad.

I believe this really goes after the alumni living within a two hour radius of campus to help reinforce the base! After last season, I believed we would have a hard time keeping all of our core fans engaged and interested at the level they where the past few seasons.
Winning will be the ultimate barometer, but I think Tech has done about as well as possible to rebound from last year's on field performance.
1. Broke gound on SEZ
2. Recruited hard
3. Put out excellent marketing material
4. Got out to speak in front of fans and alumni around the region to drum up support
5. Hired what I believe to be a great choice for DC (Diaz)
I love the ad! I think LaTech has gained some momentum in this region and is poised to win over more sports fans, along with possibly drawing back in some of the wayward. Now we HAVE to put a more exciting product on the field this year! Those games last season were boring. I think the video showed more than half of the exciting plays we had over the ENTIRE SEASON!

I doubt this Bulldog Country thing lasts long. Unfortunately, Monroe and Shreveport/bossier is tiger country. we have tried to market so many phrases over the years, but it seems we never walk the walk. Until we have a consistent winner a lot of people outside of Tech will laugh at us.
Can we go back in time and show that in the place of our commercial we ran for basketball season? Doh!

You an buy a season ticket for the University of Memphis football season for $50 per seat. Also, single game tickets are available at area Kroger stores for $5. Just some perspective on our product.
