I really do enjoy his b**** slapping of north LA businesses that support LSU entirely and don't give anything to Tech. If there were more like him in north LA, I'm sure we'd see a difference in support for our beloved U.

My dentist is a Tech grad. Attorney, a Tech grad. Our family doctor can often be seen at RhinoDawg's tailgate. Insurance, banking, automobile and truck dealers - you can do almost everything with all Tech grads (in north Louisiana at least) if you make a conscious effort - and I just try to do that.

I am a major fan of ESPN radio 97.7. I listen to them nearly all day at work and have been since their beginning. However I always turn away from it when the lsu coverage starts which has been too often lately for me. I always wonder how much coverage do they give Tech down there.

AMEN! I fail to understand how anyone expects for Tech to ever grow to the point of being a real threat to lsu, if they don't stop supporting lsu. It is ridiculous. Louisiana Tech is in the unique position to become the Virginia Tech to Virginia, the Georgia Tech to Georgia, and even the MState to Ole Miss, and even the Texas A&M to Texas and Auburn to Alabama. YES, we have a long way to go, but are slowly growing and getting there. One day we COULD be in a P5 conference. We will never get there, as long as people don't see lsu as a threat to Tech and an INSULT to our players in supporting them. North and Central Louisiana need to get behind the up and comer program! Maybe some don't want to see that, but I and many other have that goal. If you aren't trying for that, you may as well give up. Louisiana Tech is in the perfect position. this site is just "tigerdroppings: north" sometimes...too many of these type threads over the years regarding lsu. I seriously doubt their message board says anything about tech ever. if I was an lsu fan and read this thread I would laugh at tech fans' obsession with a school with whom we do not share a conference and whom we rarely play. aren't we playing southern miss for a division championship this weekend? lsu is playing texas a&m for nothing at all.

Another thread tells how Dick's in Shreveport has a good supply of Tech gear. That was not always the case. Some BBB regulars may recall me telling of going into The Shrevrport Dick's and filling a cart with big ticket items; and then going to the checkout stand and saying, "I only came in to get a Louisiana Tech shirt - where are they?" And when they said, "we don't have any", I'd say, "well forget it then, you can keep all of this if you don't support Louisiana Tech - I'll shop at Academy."
Now I'm not saying I had a lot to do with Dick's deciding to stock Tech items, but I can say that on two seperate occasions they had to restock the contents of full shopping carts after hearing me complain about their lack of respect for my university.
Also my family recently walked out of a resaurant that had an lsu item on the wall, after the manager came over and told me he had no intention of putting up any Tech items.
These are the kind of things I started this thread about. As an example, no Louisiana Tech supporter should have an account at Capital One Bank.
There is a nice selection of Tech merchandise in WM at Academy. Now there is a greater amount of lsu merchandise but it's more 75 25 compared to like 95 5 for most of the past. Further, there is not a ULM section. They have a few cups but no shirts.
