Our go-to RB will be Justin Henderson. Dude has been working it in the off-season. I see that he shed some pounds since last year.

So Henderson will be RB1 and Dancy will be a situational back?
Reggie Cleveland lost a bunch of weight.
Keivie Rose is HUGE
James jackson needed up to 225. I’m expecting a great year from him. I think he has a nice shot in the NFL as a box safety/LB hybrid.
Did Garin Boniol change his mind and go elsewhere?
Thanks, I welcome BTB members to come over here on Bulldog Barks and Bytes. It's the original fan forum for Louisiana Tech sports.
Cut the price to $5 a month and I'll be there. Otherwise I can't imagine the content is worth the value. Even ESPN+ is in the $5 range and that provides live sports programming...
I don’t set the prices, Rivals does. I wish I could. That’s why I’m running a $1 promotion for access until October to let folks determine if it’s worth it.
I find $99 a year for consistent up-to-date information on Tech teams well worth it. Its like BTB has a beat reporter, like a major P5 school would have. Recruiting coverage is unsurpassed, including interviews with the "committed" recruits.
Smoke, Amik, Mike Sam, Norris, Hardy, Graham, and Calhoun fielded punts.
Cousar is progressing, starting to run some. Mixing in on drills.
Kevin Murphy has a boot on his foot. Sounds like he could be out a while.
J’Mar had the knee brace off today.
Tons of attention to special teams today. Tons.
Coaches really encouraging people to step up and be vocal. Bring the juice.
The intensity of Bob Diaco and Joe Sloan was incredible. Just absolutely getting after it.
Five QBs in camp: J’Mar Smith, Westin Elliott, Aaron Allen, Jakson Thomson, & Cameron Bates
CJ Johnson listed at 160 pounds, that might be generous. Needs to eat everything in sight.
DeShon Hall is working as an OLB.
Taylor Fondal is now playing DL.
Maki Carabin is every bit as big as Trey Baldwin already. He’s moving around really well too.
J’Mar is moving around really well. He’s in really good shape.
Both punters were meh today, just not consistent enough. Good ones were 45-49 yards.
Tucker and Henderson getting the most reps with 1s at RB. Maybe a more specialized role for Dancy?
Malik Stanley looks really good. Should be a solid possession guy. He’ll definitely contribute. Got better and better as the day went on.
J’Mar easily looked the best of the QBs. Ball didn’t hit the ground. Aaron Allen really struggled throwing the ball.
The defense is playing with incredible energy.
J’Mar was more decisive in scramble game today. Of course, it has to show up in a game.
Smoke took a short cross and turned it into a TD. Made 3 or 4 miss.
Malik Wells is still slowed by his knee.
Israel Tucker had a really nice day. He looks good. Quick cuts.
It felt like they got J’Mar on the edge more in passing game.
Elliott had two INT, underthrown deep ball. Otherwise, he was solid.
Are you trying to get folks to leave BBB for BTB?
Not at all. I don't know why anyone would think of it as an either/or. Most people don't just have Instagram or just have Twitter or just have Facebook. I want Tech fans to be as engaged as possible. I personally like the forum layout of BBB better and I still come here all the time because I love to discuss Tech sports. But there are a lot of questions asked here that more people would know the answers to if they also spent a small amount of time on BTB...things that aren't even "inside information"....just stuff that posters here might not have seen yet on the internet or on Twitter. I just want die hard Tech fans to get the full experience, and I think more information would actually increase the number of posts here. We need more people posting about Tech and being engaged everywhere.
This is what I had posted on a prior post...
I wouldn’t even expect people to come discuss things on that board instead of here, because the community here is great.... all they’d have to do is take a couple of minutes every few days to check out BTB for any goodies and spend the rest of their time here chatting it up.
There are a lot of posters and even moderators here that are respectful of the work put in and they don’t share that info here.... At the end of the day, it’s not competition for this site, it’s just a supplement.
All the people with good info have moved over to BTB. I remember as a kid I could come to BBB and learn info that I couldn’t find anywhere else. This board doesn’t even talk about our commits anymore, let alone any real info about them.
We should be pretty good up front this year.
Redshirt Senior Center, Ethan Reed (6-4, 301) has already started 40 games in his Bulldog career.
Redshirt Junior Kody Russey (6-1, 290) has already started 23 games as a Bulldog.
Redshirt Junior Willie Allen (6-6, 343) should be ready to play at OT this year. Allen graduated from New Orleans John Curtis, where he was an All-World recruit for LSU, and had offers from Baylor, Syracuse, TCU, Miss St & UCF. Allen redshirted at LSU in 2016, and saw action in 12 games for us in 2018.
Was Landers a walk-on? Bio says he graduated in 2018 but there is no mention of JC. Any other info on him?
He walked on last year and participated in spring practice.
Looks like Justin Henderson made it to RB1.

What kind of sickness does Israel Tucker have? This will be 3 straight weeks out. Also, why is Westin Elliott still our backup? He has looked terrifyingly horrible this year.
33 needs to be removed from KR2.
Praise Okorie was the other man back deep last game. I have seen Sam back there as well. We haven’t run a kick back in a while. Or punt for that matter. Smoke should get us one before too long. I still want to see him more involved.
Wonder if J'Mar is pondering redshirting this year.
Saw the same thing but it wasn't Dancy.
You asked what sportdawg might be thinking and I answered you. But we do need Tucker back for sure.
Everytime I say something totally absurd on here, someone takes me seriously. Houston has a senior QB who started the first four games this, was healthy, but the team is only 1-3. He ended his season to redshirt using the new redshirt rule. See now you can play four games in a season and redshirt if you have one available. Overall a good rule IMO but some will always find loopholes which lead unintended consequences.
Now it seems that it might have been new head coach Dana Holgorsen's idea. Weird situation. I am sure plenty of folks are upset about this one.
If you have a good enough backup to where there isn’t much drop off I wouldn’t see an issue with it. But if it significantly hurts the team, It seems inconsiderate.
I think the Houston coach knows this season is gone and he convinced their quarterback, King, that his NFL draft position was toast this year. So, he got King to agree to a redshirt so King could improve his draft position. Of course, this would make for the chance of a better team year next year. If Houston has a great year in 2020, all will be forgotten.
I'm thinking that the rule will be changed by next year.
Since we're talking about pet peeves of rules...
Ban duplicate numbers. From 1 to 99 there are enough numbers to more than outfit a team. If some school has "retired numbers," well then so sorry, so sad, dress fewer than 99 players. Back in the day many of us played on offense, defense, and special teams, all in the same game! Heck, dressing 90+ players, most games 50 of 'em won't even see the field.
