Nope. 5/11 f.t. so far against northeast.
6/13 F.T. now.
Not entirely sure I'm not watching a Techsters game
Really like Isaiah Crawford. Glad he's back and hope he stays healthy the whole season.
Dawgs win 73-63, Crawford with 24 pts.
HBTDs!!!
Not the prettiest of wins, but I’ll take it for now.
KR be "throwing his players under the bus" after that little loss.
ULM has some big guys. Pretty physical team.
Agree. He has an interesting demeanor. He doesn't bother with displaying any outlandish emotions on the court. He is very much an "another day at the office" type but he leaves zero doubt that his play is though, agressive, and skillful. He is good in all aspects of basketball. Maybe the only concern is his agressiveness can sometimes get him in foul trouble. Very deserving of being the C-USA preseason POY.
Batcho showed some glimpses
Crawford played great down the stretch
FT shooting is a challenge it appears
No offensive flow
Flashes on defense but still working on consistency
ULM is some what improved but they are still a bad team
Old article, but 69% Basketball Shooting Percentages and Statistics (noahbasketball.com)
I don't know. I wouldn't look at it as they are lazy or coach isn't pushing them to get better at it.
I know many of these players are doing a lot to build their skillset in other areas going through drills like range shooting, dribbling, footwork, etc. Also add in the time of workouts, practice, and whatever prep work they do. No players are okay by missing free throws.
I found a similar one that had the same number. And that's been true for a loooooooong time (or at least it had been at that point).
We're only three or so games into this season so the sample sizes are low but you can see this year's team averages here (but it doesn't average those for the whole of Div I for you).
One thing that might help, even if it's counter-intuitive (from the article I found):
Which you can see in our history. We shot a better FT% last season than in '13-14 (which was a MUCH better season).Quote:
There is little correlation between free-throw percentages and winning percentages.
Lots of interesting stuff in this article.

I went to the NCAA website and copied all the FT information into a spreadsheet for all 351 D1 schools for games this season thru last night. The D1 average so far this year is 69.7556%. Tech is at #222 out of 351 with a percentage of 67.80%. The average number of attempts per team is 20.499 - Tech is at an average of 19.67 attempts per game.

So, we aren’t far off the average. Does that mean we shouldn’t be upset about our percentage made?
