T1st - two men on w/no outs Davis pops up for out 1, Bates hits into a 4-6-3 . LB challenging...review overturns call. Corona up now with 1st and 3rd. 2 outs. Corona ground out.
Umps already trying to screw Tech in the 1st inning. Not wasting any time.
B1st - Copeland on the mound. 1st and 2nd w/no outs. Bases loaded w/no outs. Single scores one run. LB likely not warming anybody up, but we won't know due to our PxP guy. Another hit scores another run. Still no outs w/bases loaded. Two more runs score.
The above describes LBs slow hook to a T.
Runners at the corners now after batter being hit by pitch.
E3 to score another run.
Down 5-0, but our PxP guy says Copeland "has not been rocked".
I predicted we would need 21 runs to win.
It’s looking like Burroughs didn’t make this game all that important to the team, more or less a walkthrough practice game.
We won’t get shut out
T2. We scratch a out a run. 5-1 Reckon who will be coming out to pitch?
Harlan is getting a "bullpen".
He gives up a hit and a HR. 7-1 now. 1 out.
Now walks one.
Base hit by Pearson.
Fly out to right for out 2.
Pop up for out 3.
But Lane puts Harland in the game. Waiving the white flag
This is just BP and pitching practice for LSU and an all around confidence killer for Tech.
I've had enough.
Jax State game is on. They are decent, but we might be able to break our next losing streak on Saturday or Sunday.
Guess we should just be happy we were competitive against Ark, LSU, and Ole Miss for 2 years.
This LSU pitcher can’t throw a strike to save his life, but he doesn’t have to. We’ll be glad to help him out.
It’s a good thing there wasn’t a real baseball game going on because Teddy would rather do anything else other than call play by play.
11-1, 10 run rule final. Burroughs didn’t want to comment on the Dawgs all around lackluster performance. I have a funny feeling that Tech is going to get into one of its losing consecutive games streaks like they tend to do after playing poorly. Hopefully not but it’s going to be tough tomorrow night at the 17-6 Colonels who are on a 3 game losing streak but who are 15-1 at home.
We were done after those first 7 batters of the game. So sad to know without a doubt you stood no chance.
DBU and SHSU are tearing it up. We have no pitching and a lousy head coach...I should say a "loser" head coach. This season is already over if you care about silly things like, I don't know, the post season!
My dad was at the game last night. His words were, we look like little kids, and LSU looks like men.
From what I have seen, LB is still recruiting players of a similar caliber to what he was recruiting at Northwestern St.
The players that we had before LB are all gone and he's not getting that same caliber talent wise. ESPECIALLY when it comes to pitching.
My wife laughed when I told her that we have a Tech baseball parents group that raises money for orange slices and gatorades for road trips. She asked if we were a high school team.
Tech’s shortcomings is all just one thing, Burroughs is not the right guy to make Tech baseball what we want it to be. He and his assistant coaches aren’t very good individually and collectively they’re even worse. Fouts is genuinely terrible in every part of what’s involved being a pitching coach. I seriously think Tech could put together a coaching staff of Louisiana’s better high school baseball coaches and we’d be better immediately.
LSU’s RPI improved 1 point losing 3 games to Arkansas. It’s a BS system designed to favor the big conferences.
