would have been my bet if I were a betting guy. Still might cover but 24-24 with 10 minutes remaining. Second choice was Texas USC game. Texas wins and covers. And I do not like Texas.

Nope, Fresno going down.
Congratulations Keith you're a moron.
Yeah, I thought that Fresno would win easily. The three game losing streak did have me worried though. After USC, they have just cratered. Seems like they do that most every year. Oh well, I guess the the CUSA folks will be coming over here to gloat now... :(
Fresno should play their bowl games in September.
Pat Hill left his brain in Fresno on this trip.
--Didn't take FGs at least twice that he could have and got no points for it.
--Didn't use a timeout after Tulsa's first play of the final series.
--Looked like a genius for not calling the timeout when Tulsa made a first down. But then what does he do...he calls timeout with the clock stopped which would allow an extra 20 seconds or so to run off after the 3rd down play if it had ever gotten there.
BCS or BUST? Try BUST!
Hope Fresno schedules a tuneup opener next year before hosting Oregon and then going to Washington, or the losing streak could get longer.
Fresno's main kicker was injured, that probably explains the 1st item. But Hill definitely has a few chinks in his armor.Quote:

ALSO, THAT THEIR (CUSA) FIRST PLACE CHAMPION BEAT THE WACS 4TH PLACE TEAM.Quote:

Any other time, I'd have been rooting for Tulsa against anyone but Louisiana Tech!
Fresno "officially" tied for third in the WAC. HOWEVER, the team they tied for demolished them. I will continue to state that they are the 4th place team.Quote:

I was so angry that they didn't pull this one out. I thought after half time, that they had all the momentum. Tulsa played some good defense, though. All in all, though, I consider this a Fresno failure.
I always kinda sorta liked ole' Pat Hill, but, im beginning to think he is lacking in certain departments. There is a fine line between having nads as big as basketballs and, being to cocky for your own good.Quote:

YUP- THANKS FOR CLEARIFYING MY POINT. FRESNO IS THE 4TH BEST TEAM IN THE WAC.Quote:

It's just typical Fresno. They always come in as media darlings with high hopes after beating some mediocre BCS team or two, and then tank. We were the ones last year to end their winning streak, and they just threw themselves a losing fiesta to round out the year, except for the bowl game. Maybe they should be focusing on each game, rather than just saying "aw, if we don't get a top 8 BCS ranking, we're worthless." I guess it's the opposite of Bicknell. He doesn't shoot high, he just wants to kinda get through the season without sucking TOOO much.. and get a paycheck. I'm exaggerating here of course, but it just seems that way sometimes, though technically we've improved over the last 3 years or so. I guess that means 8 or 9 wins next year? Who knows...
Kragthorpe is a good coach. I give him one more year at Tulsa, then it's 'hello BCS'.
