Some are saying that the Cal game is going to come on Gameplan, but it does not show it on the List on GP web page. Does anyone know for sure that it is coming on? I would hate to spend the money and it not come on.

I haven't heard that it will be on gameplan. I've heard that it's on comcast and on DirectTV and will be re-broadcast on CSTV the following Tuesday. I know that CSTV streams games, but I couldn't find out whether or not this particular game will be broadcast. It costs 6.95 for a month membership to the CSTV site that streams the games. I wish I could find-out whether or not this game will be streamed. I don't think anybody has comcast up here in Lousiville. I need to find someplace with DirectTV that will show it. Surely BWW has Direct TV huh? They've got to be able to show all those NFL games.
Anybody in Houston with Comcast know whether or not we get whatever channel the Cal game is going to be on?

The game will be broadcast on Comcast Sports Net - West
You'll need the sports package on Satellite TV (Dish 409; DirecTV 656)
It will be rebroadcast on Tues, 9/18 at noon Pacific (2 CST) on FSN Bay Area
Those of you that use your computers to see web cast of games, you may be able to go directly to their athletic website and purchase to watch the game from their own set up.
If anyone finds out, please let us know if cal will be streaming the game.
Cal will not be streaming their game, neither will Ole Miss. Does anybody read the schedule I posted, or do I do it for my own entertainment? ;)
N/A means Not Available
I update it every time I find something new.
The Sports Package is a separate "Premier Package." It's about $12/month on DirecTV. Don't know about Dish Network. Go to that channel and it should give you ordering information if you do not have it.
I tried. The channel is not there. Other channels I don't subscribe to are there but not that one. Oh well. I do have CSTV so hopefully I can watch the replay.
woo-hooo. I get to watch the dawgs 2 weeks in a row. Thanks directv. Anyone in the Chattanooga area who wants to come over to casa beefcakes is more than welcome. Send me a PM.
did you ever get an answer? i have comcast, too. i called them tonight and they put me on hold. i put it on speaker phone for about an hour while i was surfing around and reading bb&b, and finally gave up when supper was ready. now that's customer service!
I guess there is no hope for me living in San Antonio using Time Warner!
I new that "Comcast Sports Net-West" didn't sound familiar. I went to the Comcast site, but only found "Fox Sports Net-West" with no schedule available. I googled FSNW, but no schedule there either. Is this the station you are talking about? Normally they do run PAC10 and MWC games.
The 'sports' package with Dish Network is $5 a month. And I really think the channels available change alot based on what's being offered. Like last week's game was on Altitude. Wasn't a problem, but, I did have 10-20 alternate channels that all seemed to turn into Altitude channels on Saturday. FYI, well worth the money.
The site is down. Here is the link: http://west.comcastsportsnet.com/
Here is the article from Cal: http://calbears.cstv.com/sports/m-fo...062607aaa.html
Here is the week 3 TV guide from NationalChamps.net: go to 6:30 Eastern http://www.nationalchamps.net/2007/f...ings_week3.htm
Dish Network Listing: CSNWS CH 409 (COMCAST SPORTS NET - WEST) http://dishnetwork.tvlistings.zap2it.com/dishsite/listings/progdetails.asp?prog_id=7750769
DirecTV Listing: CSNW CH 656 http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/epg/d?id=392878592
Thanks. It looks like Monroe Comcast does not have Comcast Sports Net-West.
I want to buy the cal game this weekend. How can I get it on cable? gameplan? espn plus?
i'm sure it has been discussed, but i don't feel like searching for it....
sounds great, trying to have a gathering of my own, but if i cant get it ill see ya'll there....

Post #1 has everything that you should need.
thanks doc...
We will be watching the game at Fatboy's in Shreveport. We are expecting a big crowd.
No ESPN Gameplan and I don't get Dish or DirecTV. :bigcry:
If you have Dish Network and don't have Ch 409, you will need to call Dish Network and ask for the Multi-Sports package for $5.99 a month and you will get the game. I believe it is 35 extra sport ch included. I am not 100% sure that the game will be blacked out or not in the Ruston area but I dont see why it will be.
I called Comcast this afternoon, and after rotting on hold for only 17 minutes, I was connected to a young lady who seemed to have the IQ of the average carrot. She told me the Tech game was going to be on ESPNU, and we don't carry that channel. I told her it was on CSS, and she insisted they don't have that either, although I get it in West Monroe on Ch 28. Man, it sure feels good to be the lucky recipient of such quality customer service!
It is not on Comcast guys. Not on CSS either. It is on CSTV tape delayed.
I'm planning on going to Sports City Grill in West Monroe to watch it on Direct.
Never mind, Monte, I found it.

That "Hall of Fame" burger looks prety good.
You absolutely sure they are showing the game ??
??
Looks like a good backup in case the Dawg House is full up ??
I thought it was only available to Direct TV customers in the West. Does everyone with DirectTV + sports pack get this channel?
I can't figure out if the game is available on DirectTV here or not. Channel 656 (CSNW) shows up on the channel lineup, but here is what it says about CSNW as part of the sports package.
Comcast SportsNet (West) is a premier regional sports and entertainment television network featuring the Sacramento Kings National Basketball Team, the WNBA Sacramento Monarchs, local, regional and national sporting events as well as sporting news and sports talk shows. Comcast SportsNet (West) is available to viewers in Northern California and parts of Nevada and Oregon.
Nad don't made the trip just yet.
I assume that California does not have any type of Webcast.
No they don't according to what's been posted.
I've been thinking all week that I could watch it on DirectTV 656 but now it doesn't look like they will show it here. Thanks to Guisslapp for FINALLY pointing this out.:icon_wink:
Join the NW TAG group at Fatboy's in Shreveport. We'll save ya a table if you let us know who you are!! With that car of your's it's only about 2 gallons of gas to get here. :icon_wink:
Ruston's not far away. Watch it at the Dawghouse.
How is the Dawghouse getting the game?
I thought it was only available to Western DirecTV subscribers. This is confusing to me. Does anyone have DirectTV with the sports pack?
How is it possible that a school like Cal would not have a webstreaming option available for a game that is NOT nationally televised? This is ridiculous.
:furious3:
I have Direct TV with the sports package. The on-screen guide lists the game as being on live at 5:30 on channel 656 and a replay at 1 a.m.
yes, fishing show also
FYI,
Dish Network channel 409 list Louisiana Tech vs. Cal from 5:30pm until 9:30pm.
The DVR is already set.
Fatboy's had the channel Thursday, last week, two weeks ago, and four weeks ago on Direct TV channel 656. I saw it with my own eyes.
If someone at an establishment with Direct TV is telling you they don't get the channel I would really question if they were looking to see if they have it or if they just "don't see the game on ESPN Game Plan therefore they don't have that channel" attitude.
If you have satelite tv and you aren't buying the "extra sports package" you should. Most of our games are broadcast in this group of channels. (Alot more than the ESPN channels). Alot of these channels are designed for the west coast. Where most WAC schools are. Here are the other WAC games I can see today on Dish Network with the $5.99 a month sports package.
Nicholls St @ Nevada 9pm
San Jose St @ Stanford 9pm
Idaho @ Washington St. 9pm
not to mention the
Tech @ Cal game
Other games I can see on those channels
Southern Miss @East Carolina
San Deigo St @ Arizona St.
Lehigh @ Prinston
Idaho St. @ Oregon St.
Rhoad Island @ Delaware
Norfolk St @ Rutgers
Texas Tech @ Rice
The Citadel @ Wisconsin
Temple @ Connecticut
IMO, Well worth the money.
The extra sports package at Direct TV is only 12.00 per month. Gameplan is 89. I think.
I guess I'll just call around to a couple of places down here in BR just a little bit before the game to see if my buddy and I can hit them up for the game. Otherwise, I suppose I'll just be listening to game audio online. Go Dave Nitz!
Just checked and I also have access to CSNW (Channel 656, DirectTV) in Tallahassee. Looks like all you need is to find some place that has direct TV with the sports add-on package (not gameplan) as mentioned by others previously.
$12 sports package. Direct TV Channel 656. Baton Rouge.
I got the sportspackage for Dish yesterday. 5.99 a month. I'm sure I will cancel it after football season but at least I will see the game today.
The text in bold is for CABLE customers. DirecTV and DISH sports packages carry it nationwide 24/7/365 except when there is a pro sports blackout.
This week has the highest percentage of FBS games available on some DirecTV channel that I can remember. There are 65 games invoving an FBS team and 47 of them I could choose to watch with DirecTV Total Choice Premier (includes the SportsPack), local channels, and ESPN GamePlan.
All of the DirecTV sports channels are in the 600s except for ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN Classic, and ESPN2 (206-209). ESPNU is channel 609. Everyone would at least have their local FSN affiliate regardless of location with the basic DirecTV package. I have the Sports Pack and get everything in the 600s except Setanta Sports that requires a separate subscription.
Well time to cancel the sports package.
