Great Auburn info from Ledger-Enquirer

The Columbus, Ga., Ledger-Enquirer has a great Auburn blog, and yesterday's posting was fantastic. You can find it here:

There are some great quotes (and resulting analysis) in the second half. There are bits from Chizik and a player talking about how good we are, bits from another player about what they have to prove after last year's 5-7 season, and bits at the end about their defensive goals for the game. Really, do they think they can shut us out?

One player was quoted saying they "Auburn" is their "Tech" Super Bowl.

There are 3 teams on our schedule more of a Super Bowl type win then the Wartiggers.... LSU, Boise, and Nevada.....

Auburn is just Daytona.....the first one of the year!!!

Screw Auburn, why do they think so highly of themselves? No one wanted their coaching job after the dumped Tubby, they sucked last year, and after we stomp a mud hole in their arse.....the nation will know........TECH is for real!!!!!!!!

Let them look past us. It's what we want.

This is as much the coaches fault as it is the players. Chidzik has already lost control of his team. There is already trouble brewing on the plains- BEAT THE WARHAWKS, I MEAN WARRIORS, I MEAN, WHATEVER THEY ARE. EVERY coach in D1 knows you keep your players emotions in check through game time.

From the sounds of the quotes, they have been looking at us for a while. They may hurt themselves in the long run by devoting too much time to La Tech specifics. This game is important to the coaches at AU. Very important.

Thanks for the link. So, how do you see this game playing out? After one of your players called this our "superbowl", I think we got a little more fired up. WOW! What a dumb comment to say. We are playing 3 teams that will likely be ranked ahead of Auburn - maybe 4.

To be honest with you i have no idea how this game will turn out. I wont get my hopes up after the horrible season we had lasft yr. I do luv Chiz, hes old school like Pat Dye is, and he knows what it takes for Auburn to win, so we will have to see. Comparing Iowa St talent to Auburns is just silly, so judging Chiz on his record there is not fair to him really. Theres a couple more sites you might be interested in, you can google ITAT Radio, 4 to 6 wkdays, all auburn show, lotta talk about yall on there this wk, also jox radio, 6 to 6 wkdays, sports call {auburn} 4 to 6 wkdays. Do you really think we are cocky, Aubie? We're just having fun, because honestly, none of us know how this game is going to turn out. Y'all don't know and we don't know. I just want to have a good game and have a good time in Auburn. I do know this won't be the same Louisiana Tech you all have played in the past.
