The announcer was just talking about Dooley's record... He said that Dooley only had 1 winning season out of 3 at Tech but on a bright side that it was Tech's first winning season in over 30 years. What a dumb $@^... That kind of crap makes us look worse than we are.
That comment really makes me mad. I came on here to see if y'all had heard that remark. How many winning seasons have we really had in 30 years? I can't remember one year to the next very well, but I can think of two off the bat and I'm sure there were more in there somewhere, weren't they? They don't have to keep insulting us. :angry:
So how many have we actually had since 1980?

Espn is full of shit. Im not even a Tech fan but I caught that too. They were trying to justify Dooley getting the Tenn job by making up shit. Dooley was a better AD than coach at Tech. Tim Rattay led teams would run circles around Dooley tech squads.
I posted the same on ESPN97.7 facebook wall. If Dooley last name was Kabuki he would not be at Tenn getting his entitled ass whipped like he took Chip Kelly last cupcake at the coaches press conference.
Espn must be allergic to facts. Last nite comments were almost as worse as listening to Tim "Espn sucks" Brando rant on Tech fans not knowing what Dooley really accomplished on the sidelines to bash Dooley for leaving. When was the last time Tim Brando and his shaved ass hair that resides on top of his head been to Tech?
People need to be for real. Dooley was an outstanding AD but horrible coach at Tech. 6-6 aint good.
Which is still a BS stat to begin with. How many of those years were we 1AA or independent with virtually no chance of going to a bowl even if we won 9 games (which actually happened).Quote:

Not to defend Dooley, but ESPN employs some serious goobers. Herm Edwards and some other "I-never-played-sports-in-my-life" announcer were calling the LSPOO game on Saturday (watched the rerun at 3:00 AM while I couldn't sleep). They were discussing VA Tech's loss, and both of them mentioned that it nullified their win versus Boise. I thought maybe I heard them wrong, but then they again alluded to VA Tech beating Boise.
