So we now have a part time head coach?
Honestly, I don't know any facts. I am just hearing noise from some different sources. I think we will be happy if some of it comes true. Spoon is all Techster - I can say that much. She cares about this program with the same passion that most of us feel - maybe more.
Anyone that can see this as a negative is looking for a reason to whine and complain. I have gotten three calls today alone asking if it were true that she is affliated with a WNBA team. That was followed with can you get me in touch with them I want to send game film.
Oh so you mean she's going to get some coaching experience??? Funny how this is happening AFTER the fact.
A positive. Ask people in the know if this is a positive
:icon_roll: They are no more in the know than anyone else. Go back and read threads from the past few seasons. There are many posts where some of the "in the know" folks make statements that sound as if they have inside information, only to be proven incorrect, or as I call it, delusional.
Spoon needs something to save her job. Tech can't afford to buy her out. This had to happen. She's not going to be on the sidelines for the Liberty games, she's an assistant coach in the off-season. It's partly driven by a desperate need for experience, and partly driven by publicity on both sides. Doesn't seem to be positive or negative. It does seem to be a desperation heave from beyond mid-court to attempt to take the game into overtime. I don't see it as anything other than an opportunity to save face.
We hope so but most people I have spoken with mostly see it as a distraction and a mess for us
