Ya know, tis a shame USM couldn't have pulled that one out last night, cuz, UAB ends season at MTSU, which they very likely will lose. That would have left them at 6-2, and all we'd have to do is run the table...which means this game in H'burg would have been HUGE!!! Still a big game as it is.

I posted after we lost to UAB, we had won the division after beating UNT, and then lost it when we lost to UAB. Turned out to be exactly right. Unfortunately.

I’ll be there but I’m pretty certain I’ll be disappointed.

Interesting. I had Tech minus 2, but it's early yet. I figured Tech would be the dog as it opened. I'm pretty sure it will be by Saturday.

We have as much chance of winning this game as I have of running a 4.4 40 time.

USM is a very bad football team.

- USM has no passing game. Their QB (Whatley) is a freshman who's only played in 3 games, and started 2. Last week he completed only 42% of his passes. He was 16 of 38 for 160 yds, 1 TD and 1 INT.
- USM has no run game. Last week, against UAB, the Eagles managed to net only 5 yds rushing. Total. That's for the whole game!
- USM's OL may be the worst in CUSA. Almost any USM fan will tell you that.
- USM "stayed in the game" last week against UAB by picking off 3 INT's. The USM defense does seem solid.
- USM's offense only generated 165 yds of total offense last week.

Statistically, USM shouldn't be able to stay on the field with LA Tech. But we've all said that before, haven't we......:laugh:

Regardless, I'm picking LA Tech to win, 31-21.

Wow, that's some heavy duty spin-doctoring right there, HD. lol That "horrible" USM team just played #25 UAB to overtime on the road. If USM's inexperienced starting QB sucks so bad then they should put in the backup QB, or the backup's backup, or the backup's backup's backup,... Who is the USM backup QB now anyway?

The stats indicate they were horrible offensively.
