Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
This is a very bad team and one in utter chaos that's rolling into town this weekend -
Better take care of business -
Any loss is a bad loss this weekend

Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Northwestern 1-0 after a leadoff double, bunt with the play not made at third, popup that should have been the second out if the bunt play had been made, and a sac fly.
If Fincher had made the play to first on the bunt as he should have, the Wildcats would not have scored.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Drost leadoff single and Bates bomb beyond the back fence of the Kennel. Tech 2-1 after 1.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Tied 2-2 after Fincher allows two loud singles to open the 2nd followed by a sac bunt and a sac fly.
Myers leadoff bomb into the right center end of the Kennel makes it 3-2 Tech in the 2nd.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Kudos to the way Tech just handled a video stream issue. The stream was not smooth through the first two innings due to a streaming computer issue. The first two outs of the top of the 3rd were missed while the computer was rebooted, and they had an announcement ready before the top of the 3rd was over.
We criticize freely when things aren't done the right way, so we have to give credit when things are done the way they should be.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Drost leads off the Tech 3rd with a walk.
Bates hit by a pitch.
Davis makes it 4-2 Tech on a single to left.
Balk moves the runners to second and third.
Matulia grounds to 1B for the first out and the runners cannot advance.
6-2 Tech on a 2-run double to the left field corner by Corona.
Pitching change for the Wildcats.
Myers flies to right, and Corona moves to third with two out.
Burchfield flies to right to end the inning.
Tech 6-2 after 3.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
McLeod 1-out walk in the 4th.
Drost reached on an elevator shaft job that the 3B drops.
Single to Bates makes it 7-2 Tech, and that's the score through 4.
Fincher strikes out the side in the 5th (6 strikeouts total).
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
9-2 Tech on a 2-out rally in the 5th.
Burchfield walks.
Safford check swing double down the left field line.
McLeod 2-run single to left.
Another pitching change.
McLeod moves to second on a wild pitch.
Drost and Bates both walk to load the bases.
Davis fouls out to third to strand 3.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
What is it with elevator shaft infield popups this year? Every one of them that gets above the roof level seems to be an adventure.
Fincher gets his quality start as he is at 81 pitches through 6.
Matulia bomb into the kennel to lead off the 6th makes it 10-2 Tech.
Corona singles.
Myers walks.
Burchfield 2-run double off the wall in left center. Tech 12-2.
WILD wild pitch moves Burchfield to third.
Safford hit by a pitch.
McLeod walks to load the bases with still nobody out.
Drost strikes out.
Bates sac fly to right drives in Burchfield to make it 13-2 Tech.
Davis flies to center.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Fincher retires the side again in the 7th. 90 pitches. That should be enough for tonight. No need to extend him any further in this one.
Burroughs starts to empty the bench in the bottom of the 7th letting Cobb pinch-hit for Corona, Williams for Myers, and Netterville for Burchfield.
Havern to pitch the 8th. Berch, Hegwood, and Ince are also in the game.
Leadoff HR to left makes it Tech 13-3.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Ince bomb to the Kennel makes it 14-3 Tech in the 8th.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Northwestern Series
Walk, ground out, and an RBI single to center makes it 14-4 Tech in the 9th.
Double that bounces to the wall in left makes it 14-5.
Tech wins 14-5.

Too much to ask that the post game be done so that fans can hear the interview with LB? Everything about our media delivery is Micky Mouse. Just like our Aramark non-service continues to be.
