I'm not a big fan of Bill Walton, but he seems to think a lot of Paul.
Paul played well (from what I saw). Rockets got on a monster run and that was it.
When the Jazz were winning all of these games. Boozer was injured and Paul was playing 30 min per game. Paul is not playing enough and Boozer just sucks. Fisher's and Gordan's roles needs to be reversed, Gordan can really shoot.
now that's just an ignorant statement! boozer sucks? come on. he's a walking double double. he's what i hope paul becomes in a couple of years. his offensive game is vastly superior to paul's right now. he just has a hard time on the offensive end with yao guarding him.Quote:

slaon is giving collins more minutes because he is taller than paul and matches up better with yao and mutumbo. against smaller teams, paul would be getting more minutes and collins would get a lot less.
He is definitely not worth what they are paying him(the max). He is just an average player and they pay him like a superstar. It was no coindence that the Jazz played better with Boozer hurt and Paul playing 30 min a game. Boozer can't guard anybody, Paul's defense is already much better than his.Quote:

Ignorant post. Boozer is a good player. I agree he is not a max player but you don't have to dog Boozer to prop up Paul. Paul will have his day but he is not in Boozers class right now. You need to watch more NBA before you make statements like that. Better stick with your 4-3 defense.Quote:

(1) Fisher is not a 2 guard. He CANNOT cover mcgrady. Fisher does a good job as the backup point guard, but he is not a shooting guard. I really hope Sloan starts Giricek at the 2 for the rest of the series and limits Fisher to no more than 20 minutes.

(3) Okur can no longer shoot. He has been shooting poorly over the last month. He doesn't have a great post-up game, but he can do it. I'd really like to see him and Boozer take it inside more. Boozer had a great game, but I think he settled for too many outside shots. In the first half of game 2 they had Ming in foul trouble, but didn't really try to go at him in the 2nd half. Also, Houston had 38 FT attempts to Utah's 17. They have got to be more aggresive offensively.
I think the Jazz will win the next 2 games at home, but probably won't be able to win in any in Houston.
Hopefully Paul works hard this summer (maybe Malone can set him up with some workouts) and he gets some major minutes next year.
Paul averages a double-double when he plays 30 min per game or more and plays good D which Boozer doesn't or can't do. I believe he is already better than Boozer and that has already been proven. When Boozer is hurt, Paul plays and the Jazz have won, when Boozer plays, Paul sits and the Jazz lose.Quote:

If you doubled Paul's minutes he would average more minutes than Boozer does now. If you doubled Pauls rebounds he would still have less than Boozer even though Paul would have more minutes. If you double Paul's points he would still have less points than Boozer averages now even though Paul would be playing more minutes.
Paul in 18 minutes a game averages 2.9 personal fouls a game. Boozer also averages 2.9 personal fouls but that is in 34.6 minutes a game. If Paul started he would often be in foul trouble.

You said Boozer is an average player. Well average players don't average 21 and 12 a game in the Western Conference.
It has NOT been proven that Paul is better than Boozer.
Can he be someday? Yes. And I am pulling for that. Is he now? ...NO.
You forgot to mention defense and the won-loss record. Jazz fans aren't too happy about Boozer. You can't ignore the fact that when Boozer got hurt, Paul plays a lot more and the Jazz start winning, no one can argue with those facts.Quote:
