Well we have some success with at least one of those. But I agree.... the South is not great in BB...but they dominate in FB.

It's still worth investing in but the AD and the coach are not who I want in charge of growing the product.

Nah, if you are not in a p5 you have to win your tournament anyway so nothing that happens before late February really matters. Teams in the south have more focus on baseball than BB by then. It's a waste of resources.

I'd like to argue with you but it's apparent that Tech's leadership doesn't have the balls to even try. I've already given up on basketball and am looking forward to if baseball can salvage this year anyway.
Re: 12/30 MBB at Marshall
Have to admit, a little disappointed with the 0-2 start in conference play!

I watched the Florida-Vandy and the Bama-A&M games prior to the Tech-Herd event. Some folks at Florida and Bama must think it's kinda "relevant", as Florida was 100% sold out (attendance 10,274) and Alabama announced 92% (attendance 14,218).
Go watch a game in the PMAC with their new largest-in-the-world center mounted curved-screen video board, and you might get the idea there are lots of folks in LA who think basketball is relevant.

It doesn't matter. What matters is winning the C-USA tournament. We are playing for practice now.

Florida, after all these years of success is FINALLY selling out their arena. Good for them. Bama? Really? lsu? Really? The $ec will have 4 to 6 teams in the tournament. They matter, C-USA does not.

The lack of focus in basketball in the south presents an opportunity. We are wasting it.

You got that right PawDawg!
M. Basketball. Bulldogs Struggle Offensively, Fall to the Herd
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
It was a frustrating Saturday night for Louisiana Tech as they committed a season-high 20 turnovers which played a big part in falling, 78-65, to Marshall in the Cam Henderson Center.

Re: 12/30 MBB at Marshall
I’ll say what I refrained from saying after we got embarrassed again by ULL on our home court. The U-La-La game was the last Tech basketball home game I will attend this season. These guys play like they want to play in an empty TAC with no fans, which is what we will have for the rest of the season.
Our team has no heart and no pride. We get out-hustled every game. They take on the laid back personality of our coach. They play with no intensity until they realize they are in a game with less than 5 min to play. Our guys play LAZY, and it’s an embarrassment to the name on the front of their jerseys. Our MBB program is in a downward spiral, and it won’t stop until some leadership emerges.
