Jermaine Brooks, starting defensive lineman and senior captain for the Arkansas football team was arrested last night for possession of 7 lbs. of marijuana. He was evidently a dealer in the Fayetteville area. He had in his apartment $17,000 and several rifles and handguns. This is a kid that to my knowledge has never been in trouble, has already graduated and was working on a masters degree. Houston Nutt dismissed Brooks from the team this morning. This young man will be payiing for this for a long time to come and has let down thousands of kids all over this state. You would think players would realize the responsibility they have when they are looked up to by fans.
