I will be in Shreveport this week for a few days and want to pick up some Tech merchandise. Can someone remind me (I know it's been posted before) of locations around town. Staying at the El Dorado. Thanks.

Nearly impossibe to find any! Academy has a little; it has been reported on here that Kings Hardware on Line Avenue is going to carry Tech merchandise, but I went 3 weeks ago and they had nothing. Sorry for the bad news; Good Luck!
I have a feeling we need to be patient, till August when a brand new selection of souvenirs will be available. This transition from WAC to CUSA has something to do with it you suppose? Still T shirts and hats could be OK, but me thinks they want to put CUSA on just about everything they sell...right now, I hope they at least use those souvenirs that move fast and really don't require a conference logo...They do need to get their outlets exposed before the game with aTm, that's big just for the revenue !
OH - It looks like the Tech store on line is the best way for now !
Academy. There's one in shreveport and one in Bossier. Bossier will be closer. Take I-20 east to Airline drive. Turn left and go about 5miles. Once you pass I-220 its on your right. I haven't been in there since winter so I'm not sure what the selection is like. I bought a tech jacket in there in Jan and I got the last one they had at the time.
It's really slim pickins. I went to the shop on the boardwalk (next to Buffalo Wild Wings) and they have almost every interest EXCEPT LaTech. The girl told me it was an issue with the bookstore that keeps them from carrying merchandise.
Lids Locker Room at Mall St. Vincent has some Tech stuff. They didn't have any Tech apparel though. If you go there, please ask them to stock more Tech stuff.
Here is the inventory that I remember seeing a couple weeks ago:

Thanks all. Looks like Academy.
Good luck on the TECh gear at Academy...slim pickens, very limited and not great quality!
I was in SBC during the Christmas holidays and couldn't find crap worth a $hit! They are not the only ones who have the 8itch about access to TECH gear...when I go to Shreveport during the holidays, I get the same response from most of the sporting goods stores in the area that I go to looking for TECH gear...someone has a tight reign on TECH material and is not willing to give it up or they want it at a premium price that doesn't work well with their profit margin or they want us to buy in bulk that doesn't work with their inventory. I'm sick of some of you on this board talking about "purple and piss" merchandise all over north Louisiana. Whoever has the purse stings on the TECH gear needs to find a better marketing stategy and not just limit it to Ruston! Crap, I can find Grambling, Ulalala, Northwestern stuff but I have to drive all over the place and can't find TECH stuff...REALLY!
My question is..."does TECH and the bookstore or whoever has the rights to the gear try hard to market TECH gear outside of the 4-walls of the bookstore and outside of Ruston?" Hell, I've heard of folks griping that the WalMart in Ruston has more "Purple and Piss" stuff than TECH "Red and Blue"...REALLY!
I think it goes back to before Tech was listed with CLC. I believe that the bookstore controlled everything a few years ago. That's changed now, but a lot of these stores may not know (or care) that it has changed.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I generally hit up the Academy over near I220.
Its not a great selection, but they do have a good bit of stuff.
Aside from that, its a trip to Ruston and the bookstore.
I went to Dick's and Academy in Shreveport yesterday and talked to the assistant managers at both stores. Dick's only carries LSU stuff. Academy carries some cheap and ugly LaTech t-shirts, shorts, and caps... nothing that I would purchase, but Academy also sells much of the same accessories I posted earlier in this thread. At least Academy appears to try.
Dick's said that their franchise doesn't carry any Louisiana Tech gear, but they will once the Dick's opens in Monroe around Christmas time. He said that at that time, the Shreveport store will be able to get Tech gear.
Academy told me that their headquarters in Katy, TX determines their inventory and that they didn't have any say. He told me they'd like to stock Dallas Cowboys gear and more LaTech gear, but the local store doesn't have any control over it.
I reminded both stores that Tech is expecting 45,000 fans at Independence Stadium in less than 2 months when we play Texas A&M, and there is not a single store in the SBC metro area where you can purchase a LaTech polo.
When you go to these stores, please find a manager so you can request quality Tech gear.
Also, if you are looking for nice Tech clothing for the little ones (infant to toddler), the Ladies in Waiting store in Shreveport has some good stuff.
Bass Pro? Seems like I remember seeing some stuff there last year.
They had a couple REALTREE camo items that I bought but that was a bout it!
