2021-2024 Cross-divisional Football opponents
A few years back, C-USA came up with a plan to have all cross-divisional teams play each other. I'm trying to figure out who we are playing, even if it's using some of my old math logic skills! If you see a link that shows who someone is playing, please post here

ODU still “owes” Tech a return date
Re: 2021-2024 Cross-divisional Football opponents
I think the conference scheduling person/people/committee is/are just damn lazy. That's how we ended up opening on the road so many years in a row. In attention to detail & as much as possible, cut & paste the prior year. I mean, heck, after all it's just a schedule and you have to play somebody somewhere....so what could go wrong.
If we hadn't complained, we'd still be opening on the road. If we want this aspect of scheduling to change, we'll have to raise a little hell and beat them over the head with facts to get them to understand.

We don't have representation. We have a guy who does does favors for those who don't pay him.

Anyone have any inside info on future cross-division opponents?
Re: 2021-2024 Cross-divisional Football opponents
Marshall, that’s a sure 2 losses. We might beat FIU on the road, and per our usual lose to them at home.
We have got to find a way to help Skip incorporate the tornado excuse into his repertoire. This is like his 10th year with a QB that’s been starting for what seems like forever, so he’s gonna need a good excuse for underachieving again this year.

It's funny. Even though J'Mar Smith has been QBing LA Tech forever, he gets no respect from our fellow CUSA fans or opponents on the CUSA board. To the contrary, most CUSA fans say something like "Well, Tech may be decent this year if J'mar can finally have good year". Most CUSA fans that know anything about LA Tech football, clearly don't fear J'Mar, and do believe that he holds us back.

If only we had any other options on the bench......

There’s no doubt he’s the starter, so I hope he sets a school record this year. If he doesn’t have an All-Star type year, we might win 6 games. It’s already been established that Holtz doesn’t demote his QB no matter how bad they are, so I’m hoping he finally has a breakthrough year. I don’t expect it, but hope springs eternal!!
