Probably because he is letting somebody else coach special teams this year

Put me in coach - 2nd in PP&K at Jonesboro-Hodge in the 70's. Most of that score was Punt!
Re: Declining attendance is the rule, not the exception
For the life of me, I can’t imagine why 70% of our student section leaves at halftime of well played, close, relatively exciting game.

Apparently that’s what students almost everywhere do now days.

I’d almost understand if this were a Thursday game. But its Friday!
Re: Declining attendance is the rule, not the exception
It always seems to mostly be the fraternity and sorority students that leave. But unfortunately that most of the student population that shows up to games.
Re: Declining attendance is the rule, not the exception
Legit giveaways to students awarded during the final tv timeout of the 4th quarter would help. Having an exciting atmosphere and product would help.
Re: Declining attendance is the rule, not the exception
Doesn’t BAMA have an app where the students let their attendance (including how long they stay) be tracked in return for the ability to win things if they stay the whole game?
Re: Declining attendance is the rule, not the exception
How about the Joe Aillet stadium crew NOT CENSORING replays on our Jumbotron? We can stay at home and see multiple replays of all controversial and important plays on TV, or we can go to the stadium and see ONLY replays that are censored. Case in point, J'Mar's INT last night, was NOT shown. That's BS.

I believe so.

To be fair, their job is to put Tech in the best possible light. That's a hard job as it is.

It is BS. Not showing that play on the Jumbotron was ridiculous. Who in the heck is in charge of that thing? Any competent manager would have fired his ass as soon as that game was over, and if he didn't, then his ass should be fired. What we need is an AD that can and will take charge of and run an athletic department professionally. What we have today resembles a crappy high school program more than it does an NCAA Division I football program.
I mean damn, can we do ANYTHING without completely screwing it up and looking like complete boobs?

That may be more of the reason, than a Thursday, actually. When I was in college, it was better to go out AFTER the game, though. We would never leave the game at half time no matter what night it was....

This has been suggested MANY times. There are plenty of sponsors out there who would LOVE to be involved. Our goof balls blame it on the goof balls at Learfield. It's nobody's job to market or build a future fan base.:rolleyes4: It's their job to build resumes and do it the way the P5 teams do it...in a half assed way.

Yeah, I have never understood. How much would it hurt Tech to give away 1 quarters tuition at the end of the game? 5-6 games? No brainer. But I agree, seems like we have rehashed that idea since about 2010 or so.
