Quick! who is Ryan Lochte and what sponsorships has he lost?
He was a swimmer in the US Olympic team (Lochte had won 12 gold for the US as a swimmer) who "lied" about a Rio robbery at gunpoint in a taxi on the way back from a night out (causing an international media sensation), left Brazil, then the Brazilian authorities found a CCTV footage of him and his 3 swimming teammates/Bros trashing a petrol/gas station at the time where they were supposed to have been robbed (they could still have been robbed before or after, and some think he may have been so drunk he only remembered details about the gun...)Quote:

Yeah, this story has grown now, as such events sometimes do, and has taken on a life of its own. I do find it funny how the same lamestream media who are all over Lochte for his choice of words that he may have "misrepresented the facts" and are calling him out as a liar, fail to make that same connection regarding Killary.
Had this not become a big overnight story, my point was gonna be impuning the goofy sponsors, like Speedo, with their self-righteous stands. From a sponsorship perspective, does Speedo really think, no, I mean REALLY think, that some person would be shopping, looking at Speedo products and suddenly say, Wait! I can't buy this, Speedo is sponsoring that Lochte guy! 90% of Americans still don't know who he is, and 90% of that 10% don't care what he did, or did not do, one night while in Brazil.
As it turns out, the bathroom wasn't trashed, the security guards did pull their guns and aim them at the Olympians and then extorted $$$ for the canvas poster that Lochte knocked off the wall outside the building. The worst things these knuckleheads did was pee behind the building.
I agree with this. Not sure why everyone is bashing Lochte. Did he mess up? Absolutely, but nothing major in any way. I have followed Clay Travis on this subject, and he has covered it incredibly well.Quote:
