My referee partner Patrick Wesley has done a great job with this even. I hope to grow my Paul Millsap Classic like this.

I believe these type events are great for basketball, but not so much for football. Calvary, Parkway, and the S'Port area teams can enjoy them, but when a team like West Monroe(thankfully not involved), Neville, or Bastrop gives up a home game to participate I think it is bad business.

Interesting it's father vs. son in the Calvary-Bastrop battle.
Re: 2014 Battle on the Border
MD, from what i hear Coach Davidson say, it is so hard for teams like Acadiana to get teams to play them they are almost forced to play in this event.

Yeah, Shows complained about it for years. The "elite" HS teams should be playing home and home games instead of these type deals. My problem is asking fans to drive to S'Port when it replaces a home game. Also, high school football games on Saturday are just STUPID!

I am looking forward to making the drive to see El Dorado and Byrd! Beats the crap out of playing in Fayetteville. I feel sorry for Acadiana and st. Thomas more, though.

Yes, ElDo should be playing more NLa Teams, but NLa teams won't do it. Y'all got a Friday game so it's not quite so bad.
