This week's questions for Skip?
Who is the dumb a$$ who agreed to wear the red jerseys today and why do they hate our blue combos so much?
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
Did you consider an onside kick to open the second half or did you feel like our kick off team and defense would be able to stop them for first time all day?
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
There was no need for an onside kick to open the second half. However, when we scored to cut their lead to 42-23 with 9:51 left in the game we DEFINITELY should have tried an onside kick.
At that point instead of TRYING TO WIN Skip just wanted more conservative damage control ala Jack Bicknell.

I thought we should have attempted an onside kick there as well, but the defense got the stop and immediately gave the ball back to the offense. If we put together a good drive there, we can score and be down 11 with about 5 minutes to play. We didn't.

There was every reason to try. We were NOT going to stop them. We had not all day. Giving them the ball w/out trying was spotting them another TD, which we did inside of 20 seconds.

We keep doing exactly what every team expects us to do, which now includes losing!
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
Coach, obviously last week the narrative was our 90 injured players. We know this because the broadcast crew for the UNT game couldn't stop talking about all our injuries and how that was a contributor to our close losses [and not your dumbass playcalling]. This week, things must have shifted a bit because the broadcast crew throughout the game kept mentioning how you had to simplify the offense for your QB. It is pretty apparent that this was a big talking point during your pre-game meetings with the television crew. If this is true and you actually did have to dumb-down the playbook for your RS Sophomore QB 10 games into his 3rd year in your offense, can you tell us what you have to show for it? Should this guy still be your QB when you're sitting at a 4-6 record if you can't run your full offense with him behind center?
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
Do you think we'd have a better record if Barnes wasn't on the team?
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
I do think you would have 1 L at WKU that is one of our few wins, but I wonder if 2-3 of the loses wouldn’t be wins. That being said I am proud of Barnes as a Bulldog and skips records the last couple of years would be worse without him probably as well.

Barnes won the bowl game against Navy. Can’t think of other games he sealed, but I know they are there.

I thought we should try an onside kick after we scored our last FG of the 1st half.

Did we really wear red? I missed the game due to my wife's recent surgery. We almost always lose wearing Red during the regular season.

It was sarcasm. Holtz is always looking for excuses. Not sure, but I think he let's the captains pick the uni combos with the blue/red combo being the one he won't allow.
