Fred Dean did not play LB at Tech. He was a DT. For once, I'd like to see these Monroe writers get something right.

Fred Dean was the strongest defensive lineman that played in the NFL during his career. I'm not sure that he ever bothered to lift weights. Several hall of fame members have said that Fred Dean deserves to be in the hall of fame. If he doesn't get in, then the NFL Hall of Fame doesn't mean a thing. John Madden said the same thing. He said Fred invented the position he played because no one else could play it.
