POWER 5 and how they EAT us up
Crazy article today— Alabama spends 3.6million on nutrition and building a 3.6 million facility. Nebraska spends 3.5 million year feeding player, that includes nutritionist; special chefs Etc. 24/7health food available
Akron spends less than 100k—
Clemson just opened a 55 million football only building with a dining area that you step on a scale and it does Biometric readings - stick thumb on scanner and it recommends what you should it based on personal info it has on you - personal chef available if needed
The average for power 5 schools average 1.5 =2.5 million on nutrition ( they don’t call it food. Top spender in 95 is Houston at 1 million == east Carolina in same conference at 118,000. OK this is getting boring BUT next time you see posts fussing about not winning enough games against P5 teams - this might help you understand why they sometimes eat us up

yeah--the founder of canes submitted a paper for Bussiness class and LSU teacher gave him a C ( it would never make it) -- reminds me of Harvard-- they gave F to paper saying that Fed X would never work. amazing

Yes, and some pretty savvy and successful venture capitalists wanted no part of the Cane's business model. Several, with whom I occasionally speak, mention that as "one that got away." But I say (sticking with the fishing analogy), "No, you had it on your hook and threw it back." They nod, yep, that's the truth.

Great example you gave. Kind of like trying to explain the current obsession with Bitcoin-- blew from zip to 20k in no time-- it dropped 7k in 1 day -- way too risky for me so if I miss a chance, I can live with it
