OMG yes. Santoria is hard to listen to at times. He just has so much wrong info that he relays everyday and its gets so old. If it is something you have a passion for, then do your homework and get it right. With that said, Sean is one of the best in the business. If only Nick White would come back and join him.
Do they talk too much about rasslin and MMA??
Thanks folks, excited to be back and honestly never thought it was going to happen but everything works out for a reason. Also will be hosting the Tech postgame show on 107.5 this season as well.
And CLyde...Of course
Also Nick and I brought up teaming back up to fill Cowherds 9-12 slot but that was a no go..For now
Glad to have you back...
Noticed my point yesterday went straight over his head, the state's budget has been tied to the price of the barrel of oil since the days on the Longs and it predates them -
He then starts talking about how grant monies have to be found and chased by the smaller schools, that's NOT solving the issue but chasing more temporary unsustainable $$$$$$$
Academia has to chase donors $$$$ (like the athletic side) and students on academic rides not bodies to draw in federal student loans and subsidies
There is an education bubble, just like the mortgage bubble of the early 2000's and its fixing to bust wide open both nationally and statewide (first probably within 4 years)
Higher education in this state haven't seen dark times yet
Great news Fox is back. I'm sure the sponsors are glad. That 97.7 afternoon show became very boring and unlistenable so I switched over to Sports Talk with JJ and Bonzai Ben.
Fox, is there any way you could get someone like Ron Thulin to replace Lyn on the C-USA Report? Lyn pretty much says the same thing every segment, doesn't offer any real insight or anything interesting, and often belittles the conference. I really like that we have a C-USA Report, but honestly it's not good radio with Lyn as the C-USA "expert." Ron would be perfect for that segment because he actually covers C-USA unlike Lyn. JMO.
I think The Professor would also be a great personality to get back on the company, and I thought Chris D (now at KTVE) evolved into an entertaining radio personality when he was with Fletch.
And it's great news we have someone hosting our football postgame show who will tell the fans how he sees it instead of sugarcoating everything. Thank you for stepping up. Our former hosts turned away our fans so people stopped calling in.
Santoria -
Mark & the Professor were just as bad last week when they were saying that BYU wanted in the MWC and really weren't interested in the Bigxii - two days after the AD & HC at BYU basically pleaded to all the national media for the Bigxii to consider them and take them ASAP and they will work through the Sabbath issues
Fox is a YAT so he is good...
I'm so glad you all agree with me. I was wondering if I was the only one that felt this way. Mark is slightly better than Santoria. Tabor is better than Mark and Santoria and he is the dang producer. He actually thinks before making a comment.
Had the chance to catch Dr.Guice when he finished the takeover this morning on 99.3FM. It was a spur of the moment interview but we got 10 mins out of it. Certianly he "gets it" more than the previous regime. Also went on record for a 12-0 record haha.
Again I appreciate the kind words. Not going to defend those guys but they did have other jobs and were asked to come in at 230 and do a three hour talk show. They brought me back for a reason and hopefully we can get it back to where it was. Thanks for the support.
