If ranked right now, our minutes continuity would tie us with Longwood at #207. If ranked right now, our bench minutes are 29% which would tie us with a bunch of teams at #143. But like I said, KenPom doesn't even rank us in those categories right now because we don't have a DI boxscore on the books yet. I think there are more than 50 teams that haven't played a DI opponent yet. We should get a better picture after tonight. But make no mistake, we did lose 2 of our top 3 contributors from last year's team: McCree (#1) and Sherman (#3).
Ok, so KenPom depends on who's actually played (in a real game)? Fair enough.

BTW did anyone notice what happened to NWSt and their DIII opponent Letourneau?

I didn't know that. I looked up their program online, they have connections with Tech.

"Cooperating with the University of Arkansas, Louisiana Tech University, and the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Ouachita Baptist University offers several combination programs. The joint program with the cooperating schools allows students to graduate with degrees from both schools in approximately five years."

I was talking about LeTourneau. I don't know how good OBU is, but glad to hear they connect to us! Collabs are great.

Man, NWST got butt whooped by SMU 35-81

It was actually worse than that. SB Nation tweeted out their halftime score. NWST only had 8 points at the break. Single digit points in the first half, and NWST is one of the most uptempo teams in the country!
Re: 11/10 MBB vs UT Tyler
Wow. That is horrible, what is going on with them? Geez that is bad.

You obviously can't put it all on this, but NWST's 7th year player was suspended for the first 3 games for an NCAA violation.
Re: 11/10 MBB vs UT Tyler
8 pts. I think we scored more vs UAB with 4 players.
Re: 11/10 MBB vs UT Tyler
I don't think you guys realize how good SMU's men's basketball program is these days. This ain't the same SMU we shared the WAC with. Larry Brown put SMU on the Big Time map before abruptly resigning in the summer of 2016.
Tim Jankovich was an SMU Asst coach who was promoted to replace Brown as SMU's head coach. Jankovich is very well liked in the NCAA coaching fraternity. SMU should be near the top for the foreseeable future.

We know SMU is good, but this really isn't about SMU. It's about how historically bad NWST is. That was NWST's lowest scoring output in their entire 40-year DI history, their lowest point total since losing 45-29 to Don Haskins' UTEP squad in 1972 as a DII school pre-shot clock era. And McConathy runs one of the most fast-paced offenses in history. NWST's 8-point 1st half was the fewest points any DI school has scored in a half since 2004. The game before that NWST let a non-scholarship DIII program beat them by 15 points. NWST is arguably the worst DI team in the country, at least without their 7th year senior.
Re: 11/10 MBB vs UT Tyler
I remember that one year in the Woolridge regime - we held Wimp's UALR Trojans to 8? at half and we had something like 27....

Bad, pre-puberty 7th graders regularly put up 8 points in a half against post-puberty freak athletes. 8 points is embarrassing.
It get's worse when I look at the play by play: NWST had 6 points with 13 minutes left in the first half. They didn't score again until 33 seconds left til half. ULM played SMU the next game, they scored 30 more points than NWST.
