I have a paid intern position opening football only. $1000 a month. MS in the field, CSCS & CPR certifications.Send resume to khester@latech.eduStart Date March 9th.
Now I don't know what the going rate for this is, but if you have a MS and certifications, why would anyone want such a low paying job? I know Hester is well respected in his profession, but how can anyone but a college student live on such a salary?
Re: Hester looking for intern
Dang. I get more than that as a PhD student.
Hester probably doesn't decide that salary though.
Re: Hester looking for intern
I thought Hester was in demand and about to be hired away.
He must REALLY love Ruston.
Re: Hester looking for intern
I saw a reply he made to someone last night, saying that the pay was all the administration would give him.
Re: Hester looking for intern
That is peanuts, but the two interns he is replacing just got full time jobs...one as the head strength coach at Southern Utah (FCS) and the other as an assistant strength coach at Purdue. These intern jobs seem to be a rite of passage, not unlike being a grad assistant on a coaching staff.

I guess it is an internship. Maybe I just don't know the S&C business, this seems like something you'd take while you were getting your MS and certs, not after. As long as it works out for all parties...

All the AD will give him.
Re: Hester looking for intern
I'm considering retirement. Hell I'll take the job for 1K/month...beats the hell out of being a Walmart greeter. Besides, I need beer money...and I'll show them kids how to properly do 12 ounce curls then move up to 16 ounce curls. Then move up to the 24 ounce monsters! Just saying...

24 ounce "monsters" ??
I've seen RhinoDawg chug a 32 ounce without a taking a pause or even a hiccup. He could do that job in his spare time; plus, he's local. :):):)
