I wonder why it takes a long time to complete construction in Louisiana? Dr. Guice told me last fall that the Tech Pointe building was supposed to OPEN in March 2011. Here we are sneaking up on June.

I'm not sure. The Biomedical Engineering Building was built slower than expected, too. It does seem like building constructions always take more time than projected. I hope this pattern doesn't repeat itself with the Quest for Excellence once that project officially begins.

Tech's first installment of the Enterprise Campus, Tech Pointe, is scheduled to open in less than a month.
The building, which has been under construction for the last 18 months, will be completed in one to two weeks. However, director of facilities and support services, Sam Wallace, said there will be other tests run before the building will be finished and open to the public.
"There are some things we're having to do that don't show up as visible," Wallace said. "This building has got some unique features to it."
Tech Pointe will not host any classes. Wallace said the building will serve as an economic stimulator for the school and state, creating jobs and building ties with local businesses.
"It is a good learning bed for our students," he said. "It is a good avenue to expand upon."

Prefer the traditional look. As if the buildings date back to the 1920's or something like that. Have a little ivy grow on a wall....Get it?
if tech had even remotely frank lloyd wright looking buildings we'd be the shit
