Re: Non-Conference Schedules
I wonder if the Cajuns are any better this year. While whipping them into submission by 4 TDs was fun, @ Lafayette wasn't even competitive in that game. Only 1 of their scores was against Tech's first team. Of course, our second team still outscored them.
Re: Non-Conference Schedules
Tulane
9/3 Duke
9/12 @Georgia Tech
9/19 Maine
11/14 @Army

I actually like their OOC schedule.... I think there will have a good team....or so my southwest LA coworkers say. But they stopped trash talking last September....

Just the typical lsoo weak arse non-conference schedule. The Univ. of Texas is usually even easier.
Re: Non-Conference Schedules
Eastern Michigan is predicted to have a very very good team after a couple years of good recruiting.
Re: Non-Conference Schedules
ULL has installed a completely different set of defensive coaches since we played them last year. They'll play us better this year. They couldn't play much worse.

I read a preseason piece on them and I think they will be even worse on offense next season than last.
Re: Non-Conference Schedules
I don't think ULL has the players to beat us. They really only have 1 weapon on offense (McGuire). If we can stop their run game, I don't think they can pass on us (slow receivers). We will add Carlos to our offense for this year's game (but remove Sokol). But then again, we lost to NW State, so we have to show up and give it our best shot every time or we could lose.

I look forward to the day when we schedule AAC opponents instead of Sunbelt ones. Houston in Ruston was awesome, except the outcome. An SMU home and home would be huge for us.
Re: Non-Conference Schedules
ULL hired the def coor from last years NSU team as one of their def assistants.

SO...that's all the more reason why we should beat the Shsss out of them!

McGuire is not that good anyway, IMO. He ran for 15 yards against us. Of course our DLine dictated a lot of that. Still, 15 yards?? Dixon runs for 15 yards
