ECU Holtz vs LA Tech Holtz
Skip Holtz was in C-USA at ECU for 5 years and he's been in C-USA at LA Tech for 5 years. His W-L results are extremely similar during those timeframes. At ECU Holtz won two C-USA titles but went 1-3 in bowls, while at Tech he has no C-USA titles, but is 4-0 in bowls. Which is better in your opinion?
Re: ECU Holtz vs LA Tech Holtz
CUSA was definitely better when Holtz was at ECU...for whatever that’s worth.

ECU was and is a better program with more resources.
It's who he is. He coaches not to lose and loses a lot of games he should win.

Re: ECU Holtz vs LA Tech Holtz
Holtz's records at ECU and Tech are practically the same. It's who he is. It doesn't get any better than this.

which is one hell of a recruiter
lifetime winner
clean- wonderful program
keeps coaches even when they are offered more money
so far loyal to our program
I agree--DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT
You need to understand Pawdags post -- what we accomplish with our budget is something to be proud of in my opinion--
Re: ECU Holtz vs LA Tech Holtz
Well, I believe he won C-USA twice at ECU so if he does that at Tech, it can get better!

Better:
1. Beating Southern Miss.
2. Winning CUSA.
3. Winning 10 games vs some of the easiest competition in college football.
4. Playing to win games and not just to not lose.
5. Winning a game with something on the line.

Now I'm really depressed. Was expecting the King of the Sunshine Pumpers to post some ridiculously optimistic BS...instead, you just agree that we are stuck in mediocrity. We're doomed!
Re: ECU Holtz vs LA Tech Holtz
IMO he had better opponents when he was at ECU. Winning the C-USA over American Conference teams vs winning over Sunbelt teams.

he had much more to work with at ECU so it's a wash. He did well against one of the better AAC teams this past year. He could've easily done that in CUSA

I understand being upset with losing to USM... But is it really THAT much of a priority?

Now imagine a Bama fan asking this about Auburn.
Re: ECU Holtz vs LA Tech Holtz
I take the Rivalry in Dixie seriously even if our coach doesnt.

But to the point that it is higher on the list than a championship?
