With that said, Switchfoot sits in a zone of rock that doesn’t suit my tastes. I can handle some genres of pop, but pop-rock is no bueno.
In addition to the Sturgill album, today was pretty good because it also included new albums from Angel Olsen (some 80s covers - fun, but far from her best work), and Deafheaven’s new Infinite Granite album, which those that like shoegaze and post-rock might enjoy (as suggested by the first song they released, the album dialed their typical black metal elements down to a 1 or 2 and let their scales and atypical chords do the heavy lifting).

Blackberry Smoke station on Pandora. Very close to a perfect station if you know what I mean.

Chopin's Nocturne in E-Flat Major, op. 9, no. 2.
Beautifully referenced in a book I'm reading.
Gorgeous piece of music.

Guess everyone knows Charlie Watts passed away, age 80. Just heard on the radio the other day The Stones were planning another tour and they were discussing concerns over their ages, such as Jagger is 77. Well, I suppose they'll not tour now.

Some of my favorites (more or less my personal "greatest hits" for them). I tried to represent the whole span of their time.
