Poor UAB didn't get on ESPN or CBS Sports

I'm glad our WKU and USM games weren't moved. Hopefully beIN sports games can't be moved to Thursday/Friday
Re: Football. TV Selections Announced for Two LA Tech Football Games - latechsports.c
The good news is we have 7 Saturday home football games so many of our fans will be less dependent on TV.
The bad news is none of our road conference games got picked up in the initial selections.
beIN Sports still gets to pick up 10 games.
C-USA lost the 15 games that would've been televised by ASN. That hurts.
We've gone from every game being televised a couple years ago to the majority of our games only available via internet streaming.
It's great news for our handful of fans who love streaming Tech games, bad news for the majority of Tech fans who like watching Tech on real TV.

Just cut the cord this month. Come on join the dark side. I don't miss Directv near as much as I thought I would.

I'm just a few months into a new 2-year contract with U-verse. I got a great TV/internet bundle deal after I canceled. I love U-verse and get everything I want with it, basically all Tech games (except CST which isn't available at all in my market). Streaming for me has been too unreliable.

Yeah i think streaming only works for some of us. Mostly dependent on your internet speeds, router speeds, and if you are willing to wire the house with Cat6 vs. Coaxial Cable. I think more younger people are going internet/streaming only in the future and I am guessing that trend will only continue.
The World Wide Leader has already announced that they are hurting because of it and I think the Mouse is trying to shuffle them off to some other company. (Maybe Time Warner which is AT&T now?)
My guess is that more and more companies are going to push people into streaming because its cheaper. I think AT&T is already looking at getting rid of U-verse altogether. I'm using their DirectvNOW product and I love it. I can bring my iPad to our tailgate and get the games, kids can watch cartoons, etc... It has all the channels that my family actually watches for $35 a month. Free HBO through AT&T Wireless. I have Amazon Prime so I get their Amazon Video. On months when something comes out on Netflix that I want to see I subscribe for the month.
But you are right, streaming is not for everyone. I do think it will be a very real part of the future though.

Only if something drastic happens with IP server providers in the vast majority of the fly over areas of the country -
Like everything there will be a wall that's hit and the limit will be reached -
In vast parts of North LA there is affordable NO IP service available for streaming what so ever

I'm not sure it is affordable here in West Monroe, but I'm paying for it.:furious3:

I really got spoiled for a couple of years. Thought we had arrived at the time when we could watch almost every Tech game on TV. Now (air out of balloon sound).

Unless DirecTV or Dish have strengthened their signals, they are are not worth a crap. I had DirecTV for about 10 years and just got tired of "no signal" or "searching for signal" every time a small rain shower came by. In case you haven't heard it rains a lot here in Houston. I don't see how it could possibly work in Seattle.

It isn't that bad. You do lose signal for a short time in a heavy rain.

Directv, as forecast, goes out in bad weather . . . BUT, I was able to switch over to the internet and pick up the Directv streaming moments later.

It is that bad. You're paying for lousy service. That happened way too many times for me. Generally right in the middle of a program. I don't watch much TV, so I don't want what I am watching cut off. All they need to do is boost the signal. I
