One of the things our AD has done well is to negotiate the best bowl locations for us. We have had the best available for fans over the past 4 years.

I haven’t seen us throw a middle slant all year. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen Smith keep a read, and they run that play 15-20 times a game. So to answer your question, it’s probably a combination of both.

One of two things, Smith isn't reading anything(Coaches tell him what to do)…..or Smith is really slow to make a read. A coach can call the perfect play that results in a bust if the players fail to execute....Smith makes the wrong read, O lineman misses his assignment....

Invasion of the body snatchers!!!
PD saying something positive about TMAC? Man, whatz up!?
Re: C-USA Bowl Eligibility Watch
No thanks! I watched Temple run up 670 yds of offense and 40 points against defending national champion UCF last week. I'm not interested in seeing Temple run up 900 yards of offense against LA Tech in our hometown Indy Bowl.

Right. Which is why I say it’s a combination of both. If you’ve got a QB that you know either can’t make the read, or won’t, you need to stop calling that play. You could also put in somebody that could, but that’s not going to happen.

No doubt Temple would put Skippy's streak in harms way.

We could play Georgia Tech and watch them run for 763 yards and score on two long passes on busted coverage!
Re: C-USA Bowl Eligibility Watch
Gawd! what's all this negative crap being posted!? Holtz has demonstrated 4 straight times he knows how to prepare a team for a bowl game. No, I don't expect, if he stays here, that streak to continue forever. Heading into the 2018-19 bowl season, we're one of only four programs carrying at least 4 wins in a row. So, sooner or later, every program loses a bowl game. Even the mighty Bama! And eventually, we'll lose a bowl game too with Holtz as coach. Could be this year. BUT! until it happens gotta have confidence the Dawgs will show up, play great, and prevail!
Skip must get that from his dad, who was considered "the best big game coach" in college football. That mantle has passed on to Nick Saban now. But Lou Holtz was awesome preparing his team for bowls. Remember when he was at Arkansas and they had a mighty Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl, and then Lou suspended 7 key starters for team violations and everyone was like...oh man! the Hogs who were gonna get beat bad by the Sooners before, will get slaughtered now. Final: Arkansas 31 Oklahoma 6
Anyway....all you naysayers just need to chill. The Dawgs will win whatever bowl we're in, and it won't matter how good the opponent is, or isn't.
