Only C-USA Team to Win 7/Yr over the Past 5 Years

A win on Saturday will make Louisiana Tech the only football program in C-USA to win at least 7 games in each of the past 5 years. While it is disappointing to not win the championship we are definitely the most consistent winner in the conference.

That seems to be the new talking point coming out of our ADs office. Great point, but saying it in defense rather than using it for promotion beginning on Monday is typical.

The focus SHOULD be on our record breaking sack leader, but I'm not sure our AD knows about it.

BTW, all those bashing the fans for being upset about our current 6 wins...it's not the games we are winning we are upset about. It's those we are LOSING at home. Three last year and one so far this year. The timing of the UAB loss and how it looked combined with us BARELY beating the worst team in FBS (UTEP) will kill a fan buzz.

Our AD and HC should understand and apologize for that.

The only post Ive seen mentioning this on social media is BTB.

Not sure how that makes it “the new talking point” unless ive missed it in an interview somewhere.

I agree with your opinion that CUSA is the worst conference in FBS at the moment.

I don't. The MAC is bad football top to bottom. Buffalo is their bell cow and the brand of football is unwatchable (like us). The Sunbelt has two decent teams. I'd say we have three pretty good teams and 5 decent teams. The bowl games usually settle this debate.

I’ve heard this mentioned a couple of times.

It fails to show that we are in the weakest division of the weakest conference.

For the last five years utsa, rice, and UTEP were usually automatic wins. NT until recently was really bad and USM had a terrible coach for a couple of years.

We are promoting this at the same time as rice and UTEP have long losing streaks.

Let’s not promote being the biggest dog in a litter of miniature dachshunds.
