Can it really be Hammer Time?
We're witnessing the biggest scandal in our nation's history unfold right before our eyes. Attorney General Barr testified before congress that he intends to investigate the spying that took place against the Trump campaign. If he does indeed drop the hammer on the corrupt deep state in DC, watching it implode will be a beautiful thing to watch. As the dirty rats begin to jump ship, there's no telling who all we'll find out is guilty of playing a role in the treasonous attempted coup of our government. Thank God for President Trump. Not many people would have had the institutional fortitude it must have taken to withstand the more than three straight years of relentless personal attacks that he's had to endure. We absolutely must rid our nation of the sorry horde that makes up the corrupt DC establishment.

Julian Assange has been removed from the Ecuador embassy in London, arrested, and is supposed to be extradited to the US. What role will this play in the unraveling of the corruption in The Swamp?
Generally, I support ALL corruption being exposed and guilty parties brought to justice. I do not wish to see some paying the price, while others get off.

I want to see every guilty deep state and DC establishment thug, up to and including Obama, locked up. If the former president is guilty of ordering the failed coup attempt that's now being laid bare, then he is guilty of high crimes and treason and should face the penalty for it. He won't, but he should.

All that has happened is that Barr has plainly laid bare that he is a political hack, and like others in the Administration, an overpaid Trump yesman that think they work for Trump rather than the American taxpayer. His answer to the follow up question on “spying” was quite telling.

If there is nothing there, then what is the harm in looking into the issue? It would just make the dems look good when nothing is found (much like Trump does now).

Ok... now to have some shred of credibility, you need to denounce Holder and Lynch as political hacks as well.. Because both were worse than Barr.

I think Bar has done a good job. He is not well spoken, but he seems up front. Even the thing that most want to criticize him for (publicly releasing his stance on prosecuting the president for obstruction) was at least up front. I understand that people are going to pick apart what you say so he has to be careful, but I wish he had come out immediately and said yes there was spying instead of the long pause. There is no question that the spying occured. That is what the whole Russia investigation was based on. There is also no question that the spying was authorized. It was approved through the proper channels. The only question is if the information used to authorize the spying was properly authorized and wasn't done for political gain. I personally don't think they are going to find any actionable intel except maybe some low level impropriety. I doubt they can pin anything on the people in charge.

They can look at the issue all they want. Barr was deliberately throwing chum in the water for Trump, and it was gratuitous and deliberate. He admitted that he didn’t have any evidence to believe anything improper was done but that he is “interested” in looking into it.

Its panic time on the left side of the aisle. They are going to go full throttle against Barr and anyone else who looks to expose them for what they are. Common criminals. Don't be surprised by how ugly this gets before it gets better.

All Barr needs to do is read the articles that John Soliman and Sara Carter have written on how all of the spying was done by Obama's people aided by the crooked FBI. They lied to the FISA court to get some of the warrants using a false document put together by Fusion GPS with the help of a former British spy aided by some Russians. Those Russians are going to be laughing forever about the bullshit they fed Steele that the crooked FBI actually spent our tax money on. Comey, Strozk, Page, Mccabe,Brennan and Clapper should go jail. The DOJ needs to make a statement that this kind of crap will not be tolerated.
