2011 BB&B Official NFL Survivor contest

It's back!! (and better than ever??)

Well here she is. The rules are pretty simple. So simple that DirtyDawg could do it.

The point of this contest is to pick the winner of JUST ONE GAME A WEEK in the NFL season and try to outlast the rest of us. (HA! Good luck punk. You'll need it) Once you have picked that team, you may NOT pick them again the rest of the year, so choose wisely.

The deadline for your picks to be in will be kickoff of the MONDAY night game. (since it's so late in the week already). I will check and make sure that your pick wasn't picked after kickoff. If you do so, your pick will be counted as a loss. (I'm looking at you Dwayne!!)

I could go 0-2 today in my survivor games :( Cleveland already lost for me on the BB&B game and now the Chargers want to lose in my Yahoo league.

On the report, really the only important sheet to look at is the Player Summary. The rest is just good for information.

If you didn't get your picks in but wish to play, jump in. PLENTY of people missed this first week, so you'd be tied with them.

It looks like several of us tried to save the best teams for later and we picked Cleveland in week one and got burned. Im going best matchup available from here on.

I did notice there were only 11 people left that were 3 for 3.

I use the same strategy. As long as I have one missed to play with, I'll try to pick the weak teams with a good matchup.

I haven't won yet, so how's that workin for me?!? :laugh:

I hate to give away my strategy, but it's real simple, pick whoever is playing the colts. They are terrible

Just go with the best teams - sans the Saints...

The weak teams will be there at the end

I've tried all those systems :icon_roll: and they all work until I invariably pick the exception (loser) to prove the rule.

I've decided it all boils down to "fine edge of skill" with lots of luck. :icon_wink:

humm... that's weird. I'm looking into it.

I'm SURE that it had to do with Chris updating the board midweek without letting anyone know. It HAD to be!!

It's all good now. It's one of those weird things that when you tell the program to upload files, it does ALL but ONE file... THE one file that stores the picks... :icon_roll:

Cowgirls keep me riding for at least another week.

I think 7 of the 9 remaining players took the Cowpatties.... the other 2 took the Saints.

On my yahoo game & i switched b/w those 2 at least 4 times b4 going with Saints

OOPS!!! I mentioned the College game, but not this one. The NFL picksheet takes about 30 seconds to update. It's WAY easier than the College game.

7 Cowpatty picks and 2 Saints picks. Why don't you guys make this a little more fun!! I want to see some Cleveland and Washington kind of picks!! Now THAT makes a fun contest.

Just a head's up. I'm hoping that TDF will be able to run these contests for the next week. I'm getting hitched on Saturday, and I'm kind of hoping that I'll be busy for the next week. :D I don't know if I'll have good internet in the Tennessee Mountains (but we do have an air card, if needed), so if TDF can't take over it, I'll do my best to get everything updated in a reasonable time period.

NFL contest is now updated. We did run into a problem (transferring files back and forth between our computers), so please check your picks and if we got one incorrect, please let me know ASAP and send me the confirmation e-mail as well.

dangit... yes. I had problems the other night getting everything to upload to the server and have forgotten to retry it. You both got it right again. PM me with your pick and I'll put it in.

Interesting. I know that it kept telling me that the tranfer failed, but the file is there and looks like it's correct. Gonzo, I hope that you already submitted your pick!!!

Ok, so this week has been interesting. There has been a tie. Both of the remaining players missed this week. One a true miss, and one on a technicality!! Hate that for you Gonzo.

So here's the tiebreaker. Predict the winner and margin of victory for the Sunday night football game between the NY Giants and the Dallas Cowpatties. Send it to me in a PM so that nobody has any advantage of knowing what the other player has picked. The closest to the actual margin wins!!

Doc, I didn't get the PM to pick the game! How bout we just be Co-Champions :D !!!
