Okay....maybe leave the last sentence out. ;)

"When will you fire the person responsible for the special teams?"

Can you believe we averaged 18 yards a punt?
And we call ourselves a college football team.

Still unbelievable. Hell, I bet I could boot a football further than that. Bet most of our posters could.

I would bet you $100, that RhinoDawg could punt farther than 18 yards.....even AFTER tailgating all day on a game day.
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
It all boils down to competitiveness and higher expectations. Holtz doesn’t portray either one for himself and doesn’t seem to demand over-achievement from those around him whether it’s the coaches or the players. He’s always pretty much satisfied with the effort even when the results aren’t accomplishing the goal... to win.
When a team is repeatedly complimented for a failing effort, losing games that’s about all you’re going to get.
This isn’t pee wee pat on the back football, this is college football on step short of professional.
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
Somehow, Skip has been led to Believe that the Louisiana TECH Football program is going to receive this huge PARTICIPATION Trophy at the end of the season Presented to Them by CUSA. That is the only logic I can find in what is going on this season.

No, because the only person that can fire me is our AD.

He can't this season, because he goofed (like Your contact Skip) and keeps doing idiotic things.
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
You might need a new special teams coach when your kicker has to tackle the return man to prevent a touchdown.

Ir was 18, not 10. But to get a new ST coach, we'd have to have an old one

"Why do you immediately abandon a play at the first sniff of success?"

Actually, HCSH has made it clear on several occasions he is running special teams as well as calling the offense, so, getting a new special teams coach would actually address two significant shortcomings on the current staff.
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
When did a 40 yd punt begin to define a great punt?
Re: This week's questions for Skip?
Can you muster up a game plan to beat UTSA to make us bowl eligible?
