With decent QB play, and WR's who could catch, I would buy that. But as it stands now-----Tech 10-Ku-17 in a pillow fight/ slap fest. Its a shame too, because I think our D is pretty good.
Unless our QB's are equivalent to 3A high school level talent or lower, we should beat Kansas. Afterall, it's KANSAS, not Kansas State or Oklahoma or Texas.
Kansas is not a football school.
Besides, there's a guy I work with (he lives & works in Denver) that's a graduate of Kansas U and he's always teasing me about Louisiana Tech's lopsided losses. I'd love to see us kick his team's butt and shut his mouth. :D

You're right on the money HD. Kansas is weak and they've proven 2 weeks in a row. I expect better play out of the wide-outs and some genuine leadership from Donald Allen (who should be named starter as soon as possible). I'm gonna say Tech 24/UK 10(with a long field goal and one long pass).Quote:

Harmon OBVIOUSLY has never seen Kansas' facilities.
Definitely a good question. I think we could've scored against Florida. I really don't remember them stopping the run in the first half. In fact, I think our play-calling stopped more runs than their defense. If we are gonna score, we're gonna do it with Dillard, Franklin, and Jackson. I think with a well established running game, the pass game will open up. I'd love to see Wheeler and these hands we've heard so much about...it's all up to Bick.Quote:

I say that if we are going to stink at QB this year, play someone else and let them get some experience. Kubic threw an int because his arm wasn't strong enough, and he had the fastest man on the team with a step on the db. DA had numerous trys to get the ball to the wr and just flat out missed the throw. His shoulder injury has completely messed up his accurracy---which imhp was never that good. He has a strong arm, but what good is it if he can't deliver on target?:icon_mad:Quote:

DA didn't have nearly as much time to get things going as Matt did. I hope all you Champion lovers get your wish and he gets some snaps against Kansas. I hope he's great. But, as of right now, he hasn't shown the coaches what they want to see. I know I'm gonna get some smart butt red dot me to tell me that they had Ralph Davis play over Moats...yeah, that's true, but Moats got on the field his freshman year in some capacity. Luke got on the field, and so did Freddie Franklin. DA is the captain of this team and has earned the start against Kansas.Quote:

If you didn't see a difference, I can't make you see one. I saw one and the 3 guys I watched the game with saw one. The most noticable difference to me was he attitude. Allen didn't appear to be scared while Kubic did. Second was zip...Allen had it, Kubic didn't. Nobody says Brett Farve throws the ball too hard. I know neither one had many completions, but it looked to me like DA had more drops from the recievers. Did you see Freddie Franklin livid when MK failed to hit him on a feakin' swing pass? I did. The team voted DA as captain and I think that means something. These are the reasons that I feel DA stood out more than MK.Quote:

I would be fine with Allen starting and Champion getting some time. Heck, if Allen gets us some touchdowns, leave him in the whole time.
The fact is that nobody knows what Champion can do in a game. We are just letting him ride the bench. I want to know. As for the coaches not seeing anything yet from him, it sounded like he had a good spring from the reports on this board.
