I'm far from being a hockey fan but that was one amazing game in the last 10 minutes of regulation, overtime, and the "shootout". I started watching just before the Russian goal in the 3rd period was waved off as the USA goalkeeper had knocked the goal awry.
Great game........couldn't walk away
USA is very lethargic right now in their game vs. Slovenia. USA up 2-0 in 2nd period. But, being out-hustled.
Must have heard me. Two goals in less than a minute, now 4-0 USA 2nd period!
In other Olympic news, which isn't news....the US Curling teams were embarrassed again. The women's team has gone 5-22 over the last 3 Olympics. They are 40-something wide-bodies who look more at home getting out of a minivan at Walmart. Olympic "athletes?" Not too bright either.
US women's hockey team is clobbering Sweden in the semi-finals. Will advance to the gold medal game on Thursday.

And that Shuster for the men's team is like 0-6 over the past two Olympics in games where the US coulda/shoulda won, had the hammer in the 10th End and he blew it. 0-6!
His sweeper(s) let him down in the Canada game when they touched the stone and had to "burn it." US, up by 1, was looking at a 3 or 4 point End until that happened.
Major gut-punch for USA women hockey. Ouch!
