Re: C-USA Scheduling Article
I like this idea (if we didn't need the $$$)
Quote:
Adams is urging C-USA programs and other mid-majors to curb or, as ODU has, eliminate accepting such charity in exchange for near-certain defeat. Rather, Adams suggests that the best mid-majors schedule one another and only play elite programs in neutral-site tournaments.
Quote:
And the opportunities for mid-majors to play the upper crust are about to narrow even further. The ACC and Big Ten are expanding their respective conference schedules from 18 to 20 games, the ACC in 2019-20, the Big Ten in 2018-19.
Quote:
Adams wants the mid-majors to reconfigure their league schedules so that come February, when NCAA résumés are enhanced and doomed, a conference’s top 5-7 teams are playing only one another.
Quote:
But how to avoid such risk? Either you need a prescient schedule-maker or, and here’s where Adams became coy, you don’t finalize the February schedule until mid- or late January.

LOL at the dumb ass "mid major" comments...
Southland, SWAC, and MEAC are mid majors.

I think we can go further than that.
Southland, SWAC, and MEAC are majors. They play at the highest level of basketball.
They don't play it well. But they're there.
The line cannot be arbitrary, that's what ESPN wants you to think so they can draw it at the money line.
Re: C-USA Scheduling Article
I like Mark, but his idea is so dumb and unrealistic. Never gonna happen. And even if he could get our schools to do that, it still wouldn't get us NCAA at-large bids.

Going by Mark's plan, we'd never play a P5 hoops program cuz we can't schedule a P5 in a tourney or at home. You think that's the ticket for an at-large bid? lol
He's nuts, and C-USA is wasting our money paying him as a consultant.
