I am good friends with the deputy city manager here in Frisco. He does most of the business with the NCAA, MLS, etc here in town. I know they are actively looking to bring more NCAA events to several of our venues here. If a school/schools were willing to put together a solid bid with CUSA I know Frisco would be interested.
I rather UTEP gets it. I don't like CUAB.
Really tired of seeing it go to Birmingham every year.
well, has UAB officially closed this deal yet?
I think the sports authority/commission in B'ham is out of the mix and won't submit a competitive bid, figure it will go to UTEP, then ODU and then back to UTEP...
BTW - UTEP is a GREAT HOST spot

C-USA eyeing new Cowboys practice facility as possible home for hoops tournaments
Quote:
The Cowboys’ facility could be configured to put two courts on the playing field, according to a source with knowledge of the proposal.
Could be a very first class experience.
In the front entry way, you can have pep rallys, battle of the pep bands, etc.

They have a video board on the outside

It'll take some creativity to transform this into a bball arena. Cowboy stadium was home for 2014 Final Four, I think someone can easily figure out seating and court arrangement for The Star in Frisco.

FINALLY! Someone at CUSA has finally started paying attention. This is long overdue. Nobody's going to be able to top this for WOW! factor. Good hotels, great shopping, and fantastic restaurants and nightlife.
Now you're talking.
And the best news is, it's only 7 miles from my house. :D
If they do this Frisco deal, I'll find a way to make some games.
Frisco is a NOOOO BRAINER DECISION!!!! People who are against this simply do not realize:
1. how Frisco (N Dallas) gets behind this sort of thing and
2. how many CUSA alumni (with good incomes) live in the DFW metro area and will support their team.
