Quote:
Tech will be guaranteed $1.1 million for its 2021 visit to N.C. State, a fair market value meeting before the teams begin a home-and-home series 2024 and 2025. To make room for that road game, Louisiana Tech athletic director Tommy McClelland told the News-Star Monday that the moved the 2021 home date with Baylor to Week 3 of the 2023 season.

What a horrible idea.
If we didn't have room for the road game because we had too many home games, then we were better off before the deal. This is like saying "to make room for the penny, we gave away the dime." It ought to work the other way around unless we're talking about something way better than a 2 for 1 with NC State.

All it did was move it back.

Right. I understand that.
But where is the advantage in that?
Are we better off?
Re: 2018 and Future Schedules
Our AD is worse at negotiating than Chuck Schumer.
Another 2 for 1 with a low level P5. What a goober!
Re: 2018 and Future Schedules
I'm not as upset with this as previous 2/1. Its a $ game & a home/home. I'd like to know the buyout - it better be $1.1 million.

I'm not super excited about it but at this point I'm glad they'll at least pretend to give us a home game (if it's not bought out).
That said, it's a money game, and it better be 1.25+
I doubt the Baylor game gets played unless they're still reeling. The longer they have to recuperate the higher the chance it gets bought out for pennies.

1.5M is the going rate now. In three years it will be 1.7M. Horrible deal! BTW unless somebody does the FOIA thing we'll never know what the contract says. We still don't know why our goof ball AD moved the Arkansas game from Little Rock.

He knows that if we have no money we can't pay our employees, which is him, right?

I guess maybe I just don't know why this is a good deal. Am I missing something obvious?
All I can say is Holtz better win all 3 games handily (hahahahahahaha)
