II (West) and KK (East) are the worst seats in the house... I know, for $5 they'll let you sit on top of a ladder and peer over the hedges.

Re: LA Tech-GSU Tickets On Sale Monday at Reduced Prices - latechsports.com
Tommy wants a huge turnout so he can take that full stadium pic showing off that he can fill a stadium. He'll neglect marketing the rest of the home games.
It's a yearly trend, he'll market the hell out of one game (NSU, Miss State, Southern, etc) and the rest he doesn't care if anyone shows up.
I see only two games that our Athletic dept will try to put most of their energy (Grambling and USM). Everything else, they will advertise via social media a day before the game like usual.
Tommy's thinking...
Grambling (Sat at 2:30pm) - put all my energy for a near sellout, i'm going to hire someone to do an aerial footage of the stadium showing off the success of 2019.
FIU (Friday at 7pm) - eh, it's a friday game. We'll put out a social media post one day before the game enticing folks to come.
UMass (Sat at 6pm) - not a sexy match up, why put much energy into this one.
Southern Miss (Sat at 2:30pm) - let's rent some fireworks, it'll probably rain like usual
UNT (Sat at 3pm) - it's homecoming, it markets itself.
UTSA (Sat at 2:30pm) - no one will show up, it's after Thanksgiving. It's on to basketball season.

So glad I'll be sitting in the shade but that's what happens when TV rights come into play. Pretty sure Mrs TD will pass on it because it will be so hot.

Not me. I'll be there. I'll be so close to the field, Holtz can put me in the game if he wants.

Our 10 will be there, but we will also be covered in SPF 50 or higher. I don’t think any schools south of the Arkansas/Missouri border should be permitted to have games before 6pm until October.

As I pointed out in another thread 6:00 pm north of Arkansas/Missouri border (Kansas to be exact) in September doesn't guarantee cooler temps.

A 6 pm start does guarantee shade for the west side and under the lights for the 2nd half.

What year was the Labor Day weekend game that we played Nevada? Was that 2004? I melted at that one.

And the late August game vs. MVSU, which we won 63-10, and some fools stayed to the end that 102F day. I know some stayed because I saw 'em!

It was 2004. Hottest game I've ever been to.

I thought it hit 109 vs MVSU....
But once it hits a 100+ what’s a few degrees one way or another -

Re: LA Tech-GSU Tickets On Sale Monday at Reduced Prices - latechsports.com
Oh and we ran out of water and ice with only 14k announced in attendance....

109F? Felt like 120F! I just remember the Shreveport TV station, probably Channel 3, saying it hit 102F that day. Maybe in S'port but it was hotter in Ruston.

LA Tech's season opener against MVSU back in 2000 = Hottest game temperatures and worst humidity EVER! And JAS ran out of water. Dawgs won 63-10 before 18,565 fans.

Sorry...I posted that last post before I even read the others talking about the same game. Clearly, a lot of people agree that the MVSU game might have been the hottest game ever.

I can't think of one that tops it for pure heat and not a breath of wind...

Speaking of 2:30 kickoff, hot weather and running out of water . . . do you think we can get Mac's grocery stores over here in West Monroe as the hydration sponsor, since we are tied at the bank vault with Pepsi.
Here's why:
Mac's 24-bottle case of hydration sells every day for $2.50, which computes to 10.42 cents apiece. Can you imagine how much the FANS would save if the water was sold at $1 each instead of the normal PEPSI brand at $2 or $3 each?
I bet Super1 would make an even better deal.
Better yet, bring your own canteen of water and be a conserving type.
That's all.

Several years ago (2009?) I tried bringing my own water and the guard at the gate wouldn't let me bring it in.

Your proposal is way over the head of our decision maker. That's assuming Pepsi is not paying him directly to "do the smart thing".
