Re: 2017 Baseball Schedule
Good ole Louisiana boy, Todd Butler, is head coach at Witchita State. I played HS ball with him in S.La back in the early 80's.
Good to see him bring his team into Ruston.

LA Tech Baseball Announces 2017 Schedule
Arkansas out of the Southeastern Conference on February 28 and March 1
Friday, February 17 at the Love Shack against Arkansas-Pine Bluff for a three-game series with the Golden Lions.
February 21, LA Tech will host Little Rock in the first mid-week game of the season.
“Our midweek opponents will always be quality and challenging due to where we are located,” Burroughs remarked. “There are great programs in this part of the country and they really place an emphasis on baseball.”
The Bulldogs will spend their second weekend of the season on the road for a three-game set with UT-Arlington beginning on Friday, February 24.
LA Tech hosts Wichita State for a three game series on March 3.
Re: 2017 Baseball Schedule
I don't know if it was a premature release , but a press release was put out, but it doesn't have full schedule.

This is a really good schedule, exceptional compared to this year's FB and MBB schedules. My only complaint would be I would've preferred to replace the 3-game SWAC opener with a NOLA area series (Tulane, UNO, or SELA). Other than that, I think Goff and Burroughs did an excellent job.
I noticed that Burroughs either delayed or canceled the NWST home-and-home Goff said he signed for this year. I don't blame him.
Re: 2017 Baseball Schedule
nice schedule, love to see LSU, Tulane, and Southeastern on the schedule in the future

I agree it would be more appealing with Tulane, UNO, or SELA, but the upper tier teams in America normally play low level teams opening weekend at home to get some confidence going. We are an upper tier team in CUSA which is one of the best conferences in America. I love seeing us follow this model. Our in conference schedule mixed with Miss St, Ark, & ULL will be plenty to get us an at large bid again.
