The NBA is definitely the toughest major pro league to make it in.
McCree was a 3rd round talent, but the problem is the NBA obviously doesn't have a 3rd round. In the NFL and MLB, everybody praises 3rd round picks as high selections.
The good news for someone like Erik is the NBA is fully committed to turning the G-League into a real minor league. Salaries are increasing. Guys can make a living -- maybe not eight figures, but good money -- for playing in the G-League. If he impresses enough during the NBA Summer League, Erik might be able to get one of the new two-way contracts between the NBA and the G-League.

NBA popularity has grown with the millenial population. That says it all.
A classic. Of the three recent bowls this is my favorite. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. As you would expect, the Navy faithful/fans are pure class. Shared a hotel with a bunch of 'em and the next morning at breakfast, me decked out in Tech gear, they were nothing but complimentary and genuinely impressed with the Dawgs and Tech's fan support, etc...Quote:

Golf is not cheap and will always big a smaller sport that's popularity will ebb and flow. It can only be viewed as cheap when you compare it to the cost of playing through the years. You have to pay to play, buy clubs, buy balls. Compare that to other sports: football, basketball where you just need a ball, and baseball where you need a ball and glove. Golf ain't a cheap sport. Watched the Rockets/Cavs game last night, but Erik was a no show (so far as getting in the game, that is).
McCree was one of I believe 3 Rockets who didn't enter that game. Hamilton was next door with Golden State and played 21 minutes off the bench (most of any Warrior bench player). Nothing special, just 4 points on 1-5 shooting, 2/2 FTs. 4 rebounds and 8 assists. 2 steals maybe?
Houston's roster looks pretty deep to me. Really doubt Erik will get much p.t.
